    You will need to keep doing these regularly as the markets evolve, open and close. Thanks for the effort- great footage as always.

    The owl looks good! The best coconut smoothie I've had was at the One Ratchada.

    We visited Asiatique last November and really enjoyed it. I bought my beautiful elephant tote there, my favorite Thai souvenir. Thank goodness the lines weren't as bad for the ferry then. I was very disappointed in Jodd Fairs. There were just a handful of vendors and I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning there, the only time I did in Thailand even though I ate street food everywhere. Guess I'll have to come back to visit your other 2 favourites.

      Oh that’s cool! Asiatique is perfect for those last min gifts and keep sakes for sure. I’m sure that ferry que is hit and miss for sure. I didn’t end up waiting long actually after I filmed that bit lol

    I have to been to
    Owl 🦉 and Asiatique and I agree definitely suited for the “ Tourist “ with the prices . Owl was awesome I went on your recommendation it was great and cheap and nice to hang out with Thai people . Great
    A fun Vlog to watch and I’ll definitely check out your No 1 The One Ratchada market, maybe we can go together 😀 …. ✌️

    I remember going to Asiatique in 2012. I was there for like an hour before I left and half of that was waiting for the boat.

    Do you think you can buy those high power laser pen things this market? I need to make a DIY fly killer for back home! :D If not, where is the best place to buy those kind of things like electronics etc ? I saw them around Nana Plaza area but it’s all more expensive along those streets..
    I’m going to be in Bangkok on Saturday eve / night only.

    I liked the old train market it was crazy busy just before Covid and the closing/moving/reopening/ renaming etc 55555…. I’d argue though that the ASI- ATIQUE (correct pronunciation) isn’t quite a proper night market . Extremely touristy as well ,very pricey as you mentioned.

      I almost feel like there I should make a videos.. top 3 markets for tourists and top 3 for people living here lol because they would be completely different. Nobody whatsoever goes to Jodd fairs who lives here but everyone on holiday should visit for the experience of seeing this crazy busy place because it can be fun to do that

  • @Zeeebra
    @Zeeebra 10 месяцев назад +2

    Sorry Rob, am gonna have to disagree with you on number one for now. The One has many empty shops for the moment, food and shopping is nothing stellar. The other markets like Jodd and Green Village seem to have more at this present time. Maybe in the future things'll turn up but, not The One for now. Great review anyways!

    • @ProjectBangkok
      @ProjectBangkok  10 месяцев назад +4

      There’s no where to sit at jodds and it’s closing in a few short months.. the stalls that are empty at The One Ratchada today were not empty a few months ago.. it was full! And they moved to the new Jodd fairs site Danderrimit. So when Rama 9 jodds closes there going to fill The One Ratchada back up so I think this video will be more accurate in say 2 months than it is today. I get your point though for sure

      @@ProjectBangkok better market is ramintra and Kaset nawamin market, real locals price good quality shops. look at ramintra - Ekamai. no tourist.

    So your top 3 includes one overly touristic/overpriced market (Asiatique), and one dead market full of empty shop and nobody around (Owl). But yeah, let's not include Jodd fairs to be edgy. xD

    • @ProjectBangkok
      @ProjectBangkok  10 месяцев назад +3

      Jodd fairs is a tourist nightmare I don’t get it. You obviously don’t live here. Enjoy spending 30min searching for food that you then can’t sit down and eat 😂
      Your argument is that Jodd fairs is better but zero reasons Why.. In a few short months it’s closing as well so where do you thinks there stalls are going? Oh wait.. there’s emtpy units at One Ratchada waiting 😂 I rest my case

    Food at Asiatique is overpriced.
