ok ok so
the song renegade (in one sense) represents a person being in a relationship with someone who has like issues and stuff and describes the frustration of being with that person
meanwhile Long story short is like, we know its taylor describing her life but it can be seen as a person finally finding that peace that they wanted and they found it in a person

i am listening now to renegade and immediately thought that it sounds like long story short (both songs were written by taylor and aaron dessner which explains why they sound the same, i think). then I looked up for a mashup of both songs, ‘found this and instantly fell in love ❤
