2022.09.04 Ayanga presented a mini musical “Timely Clearing after Snowfall” with professor Liao Changyong in “Poetry and Painting of China” season 1 episode 2. Thru acting, singing and AR technology, the mini musical tells the story of 3 great artists’ legacy. In Yuan dynasty, Huang GongWang admired Zhao Mengfu and became his student. At the end of study, Zhao gifted Huang four big characters in running script “Timely Clearance after Snowfall”. Zhao’s idol is Jin Dynasty scholar Wang Xizhi and Wang has a very famous short letter in running script with these four characters (small ones) in between. Huang treasured his teacher’s gift. Many years later, after Zhao passed away, Huang created a great painting “Timely Clearance after Snowfall” In remembrance of Zhao. In Ming or Qing dynasties, a collector attached Zhao’s writing and Huang’s painting together. “Timely Clearance after Snowfall” became a trendy topic that many artists have created works. Thanks for Ayanga to come up with ideas of this mini musical to tell a great story and to invite teacher Liao to perform Zhao. It is wonderful to see the master of Opera and master of Musical in China performing together. Hope Ayanga will have chance to invite teacher Liao to join in his musicals in the future.

Ayanga said that the first draft of this musical is about 30 minutes. Due to time limitation by the program; they made many revisions to cut it down to current version.
@@mishk8641, Thanks for the additional tidbit Mish! The mini musical as broadcast was amazing and left me wanting more! The original 30 minute version would have be fantastic. This broadcast was an impressive example of how Musical Theater can beautifully tell the Chinese story, and in my opinion, one more concrete step for GaGa towards achieving his vision for Chinese Musicals!

阿雲嘎飾演元代繪畫大師黃公望， 細心揣摩角色，一絲不苟，就如上演一齣具有東方古典美的小型音樂劇。
年輕時 ，溫文儒雅的黃公望，接過老師趙孟頫的贈予 ，滿心竊喜。 一轉身，英姿勃發 ，笑逐顏開 ， 呈現出壯年時的抱負與雄心壯志 。
到了老師仙去，浪跡山川的黃公望也老了，唯有收拾傷感 ，將恩師所贈四字，以栩栩如生之姿，留存於世，一泄心中如滔滔江水的思念之情。

《快雪時晴》
撒貝寧：「趙孟頫，是元代開啟一代畫風的領袖。黃公望傾慕趙孟頫的才華，拜趙孟頫為師，趙孟頫欣然接受，成就了一段師生佳話。趙孟頫十分喜愛王羲之的字，尤其是這幅《快雪時晴帖》，“羲之頓首快雪時晴、佳，想安善未果為結，力不次王羲之頓首山陰張侯”。這日趙孟頫一時興起，從字帖中仿寫「快雪時晴」四個字，並將它贈予愛徒黃公望。」
廖昌永飾趙孟頫，阿雲嘎飾黃公望。
第一幕《贈字》
黃公望學有所成，即將拜別恩師。趙孟頫以王羲之《快雪時晴帖》中仿寫「快雪時晴」四字，贈予愛徒。
黃公望：「恩師傾囊以授，學生沒齒難忘。」
【願我來日雲遊四海，描繪山河，學以致用。以天為幕，以地為廬。品味人生，修得反璞歸真。】
趙孟頫：「紙上得來終覺淺，絕知此事要躬行。」
【紅粉贈佳人，寶劍贈英雄。妙曲贈妙耳，逸品獻蒼穹。今日我從王羲之的法帖中，仿寫了快雪時晴四字相贈。】
「願你博觀而約取，厚積而薄發。」
第二幕《快雪時晴》
多年後，黃公望重看恩師所贈墨寶，思念之情隨雲開雪霽透卷而出，他揮筆作畫，遂成一幅【快雪時晴】。
若干年後……
黃公望：「一別多年，浪跡山川，誰知等來的，卻是恩師仙逝的消息。斯人已去，唯有將恩師所贈四字，以栩栩如生之姿，留存於世，方可一泄心中如滔滔江水的思念之情。」
【這一帖見字如面，這一別杜鵑啼血。再回眸馬蹄聲碎，風鈴搖醒過去歲月。每一筆浸潤孤獨，每一划丹青如淚。東風錯，蠟炬成灰。抖動指尖，讓絕學不會湮滅。人生是一場快來快去的雪，一片雪花一個嶄新的世界，畫裏畫外思念凝結。看曙光多麽鮮豔，看山巔青雲隨那寒風凌冽，大雁不歸看那回峯落葉，落筆如神淚如珏。心在追雪紛飛，奏一曲夢中高山流水。】
第三幕《合璧》
恍惚間，趙孟出現在畫境中。師生二人再度相見，「書」與「畫」合而為一，成就一幅傳世畫卷。
趙孟頫：【一幅畫真傳絕字，黑與白，洗練秀美。氣與韻，灑脫疏朗，雲開雪霽如此純粹。濃與淡，柔潤如羽。神與形，合璧成輝。彷彿間時空交滙，千山暮雪，讓絕學燦若星魁。人生是一場快來快去的雪，一片雪花一個嶄新的世界，畫裏畫外思念凝結。看曙光多麽鮮豔，在山巔青雲隨那寒風凌冽，大雁不歸看那回峯落葉。蒼松為我續斷弦，談笑間一場醉，奏一曲夢中高山流水。 】
