In that moment you saw the potential Wyndle's people saw in her, why they chose her for him. Even though so young, she already had the words within her. Despite the selfishness, tied to her upbringing, deep down, she was an Edgedancer at heart.

Man, I remember reading this chapter. I kinda assumed the beaucurats were a joke, but really its an awesome setting to play with morality and legality. Especially with the characters Nale/Szeth//Nightblood where no one really knows whats good or evil.
Lift is best girl! And the voice works perfectly with her.

@@DemonMage Late reply, i know. But there was a point somewhere when she showed frustration at growing up. And a moment before that when she'd gotten tall and lanky, but still just as clumsy. Not to mention she told her age in the beginning of this interlude.
So I argue we do know that she was a kid at this point, which means she was an even younger kid when she met the Nightwatcher.
