Only issue I see with this is when the post rots and needs to be replaced ten years down the road. That is going to be a real pain to remove all of that concrete that is now anchored to the bed rock with epoxy and the post support.

Great point. Pressure treated lumber should last 30+ years. But if you did need to remove the post, you'd like need to jack hammer it out.

If the post needs to be replaced...that anchor should not be rotted. just cut out the old post and put the new post onto the same anchor.

I want to build a deck, but outside it purely bedrock...
So when it comes to getting the deck level can I put blocks in the anchors and screw the deck into them, or would I need to the anchors level?

Does the post anchor come with the bolt and bracket seperate or as one?

@@MakingManzanita thanks so much for responding. Can't seem to find one here in Australia, most have a plate on the end and aren't threaded. Love the video btw 😁

The hard part here is drilling the hole

      Yes, you're definitely right!

Did you have to use a hammer drill? I’m assuming couldn’t use a regular drill for this.

Wait for adhesive to dry and then concrete it in?
I believe I am gonna just jackhammer a hole 2 inches diameter the concrete a 11/2 inch pipe in the hole.
I have seen concrete on a pipe post over 100 years old, but I have not seen epoxy on a post that is 10 years old.
I am 71 years old and I have had to rebuild a poorly built fence before and I do not like to do that!
I say that every fence a wise man builds is built to last at least a lifetime!

That's one way to do it. We wanted to show this option that doesn't require a $100+ jackhammer rental. This post has withstood everything thrown at it but I get its got 4 more years to go. I'll let you know how it holds up

You Missed the step of securing the post to the anchor. I'm assuming you bolted it with galvanized bolts 🔩 ? Thanks. This was helpful. I have a similar problem.

Yes, sorry about that. You attach the pressure treated fence post to the anchor with a galvanized bolt.
