If you’re new to programming but want a career in tech, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND applying to one of Springboard’s online coding bootcamps (use code ALEXLEE for $1,000 off): bit.ly/3HX970h
I have to say, as a beginner, the way you break things down, give examples, and the layout of your videos that show what you're typing and even the shortcuts, are so very beneficial. Thank you for all of the awesome tutorials.
Taking time to dissect the code step by step has always been challenging yet rewarding. With comprehending the concepts, you'll quickly pick up the rest of whatever area you're studying. I recommend locating broken code on the internet and fix it up as a random challenge.
The perfect video when you haven't touched coding in a month, have 2 months' work of assignments due in half a month, and this year's AP test only covers up to arraylists.
your tutorial videos have been exponentially helpful as i just enrolled in a computer science degree and know nothing about programming. I will definitely recommend your channel as it is the most clear cut, example laced, description on what the hell i'm doing, or trying to. I appreciate your help.
Simple, informative and straight to the point - just the way good tutorials are meant to be. You covered 2 hours of my reading material in five minutes. Good job and thanks for the help!
Did i just spend 2 hours learning from my lecturer's slide and understand nothing when there is a less than 6 minutes video and i understand everything. Thanks alex for the great video
I can't believe I learned array lists and 2d arrays in less than 5 minutes, Alex you are amazing and I appreciate what you do, your explanations have really saved from tight spots
I know ArrayLists, I just clicked this video to look at the keyboard, I love keyboards. But the links you provided at the description are so helpful that this video helped me a lot. The links on the description are more helpful than so many other coding videos on youtube :D. I just liked the links and wanted to thank you.
I had 0% motivation and kept re-reading my book 326534634543 times thinking that it was so complicated, but you explained it so well in just a few minutes and now I find it super easy. Thank you so much for your work!!
I like your short and concise style of explaining. Sure you dont mention every detail (which is impossible anyways)and there are some important things left unsaid, but if you just want the basic information and then work with it yourself, which I think is the only way to truly learn programming, this is perfect.
Great tutorial ! like really nice you're the youtuber that really deliver all the programming concepts with the best method possible I hope that your channel grow and have a success you clearly deserve !!
Alex thanks for those videos, I'm 34 years old man and doing my computer science degree currently in my second year we had to learn Java over break time between the years I'm doing the course on udemy but brother the guy makes it hell of a complicated :D and I come to your videos to find simple version of what he said :D Thank you so much for those videos it help a old guy like me to learn it better so I can hopefully graduate this and get a job that I dread of :D
The way you teach, is the same as business model, for example first creating a demand for Arraylist by bringing up a problem and then giving the Arraylist as a solution. It is best way imp
Man, this is SO helpful for the people trying to learn during quarantine. The way you explain it makes it super easy to understand certaing concepts and how the codes actually work when you hit "run". I know its an old video, but keep it up man!
i got selected for a new java training through a requalification program by the employment exchange. though my trainers at the uni are proficient the fact that i'm an english native learning java first time in a different language at speed that does not afford practice had left me seriously doubting my cognitive abilities. it's in your videos that I actually feel that java is really easy and not such a 7 headed monster as I was first inclined to believe in while I was seriously contemplating jumping out of the ship if not for a colleague who helps and ofcourse your lovely easy to understand videos .
Those videos are awesome! Perfect length to always learn some new intererstig stuff while not more information than you can remember. I also love the way you explain things, for me your videos are always a lot easier to understand compared to other channels.
Very thankful you go back and explain stuff. I've watched these in order of Java Basics 1 - Java Basics 2 and once In a while something might slip by that was explained differently or simply shown In a later video more ahead In the playlist but maybe made earlier.
That's amazing! I just tried to mix everything that Iearnd from you, so I changed this code to be able to get new fruits from the user and add it to the existing array.
hi man i just wanted say thanks so much for making videos, i'm a uni student doing computer science and you really help me get a basic understanding of things. just wanted to say that you are a true hero to me! :)
folks were just jumping into how to do it, but with the simple examples without context, I was just getting hung up on, "why?". Thanks for clearing it up!
Thanks, I'm thankful I found your channel. I just finished java course on sololearn app but watching the viedo makes me fully understand the methods, syntax etc. like how to use it or when to use. Again thank you it helps a lot.
Thanks for your videos! It helps SO much that you do a basic step-by-step and explain each thing you do and show direct results in real time. Your content is very easy to follow and you get your point across in a simple and digestible way.
The video was great on its own, and I appreciate the lesson. That said, the subtle subscription plug(where you worked a subscription reference into the lesson by saying that array lists are probably how they handle subscriptions) was fairly brilliant and got a chuckle out of me. Whether it was done consciously or not, its what got me to subscribe, lol. Thanks again
Hi! I'm a computational math student and I found that ur video is so helpful :) You just got a new subscriber :) Thank you so much for helping me understand the basic of ArrayList and other stuff in java ❤️
thumbs up for the mechanical keyboard sitting on top of the crappy mac one. OH and for doing what my college professors couldn't. You're seriously good at this.
Thank you so much for this video, it really helped me understand Java. I especially like the simple explanation and to the point approach you're using.
I really like the way you explain with your struggles to understand in your early life... like I'm going through now...thank you 😀.I too like the simplicity in your explanation
I didn't know about arraylists but this has just answered a question I had (and commented about on another one of your videos) and will make my project idea possible

i really enjoy your videos ngl your videos was the reason i pass may data structures exam
You literally made a 3 hours lecture down to 6 minutes. Thank you!
A 3 hour lecture on arraylist? Jesus christ.
The teacher must’ve been lecturing at .25 speed
@@clublulu399 thats exactly what i thought. 3 hours on just that???? LOL
I was gonna say this.I missed my classes one day and I come here to see the video about ArrayList make my life so much easy
I have to say, as a beginner, the way you break things down, give examples, and the layout of your videos that show what you're typing and even the shortcuts, are so very beneficial. Thank you for all of the awesome tutorials.
My teacher literally gave us a project about this stuff and was like “figure it out”
Thats what programming is though, if teacher helps too much in this field u wont learn much even if it doesnt seem reasonable
same here! this was soooo helpful!!
YEAAAAA I MEAN OUR TEACHER IS BEYOND CRUEL
Taking time to dissect the code step by step has always been challenging yet rewarding. With comprehending the concepts, you'll quickly pick up the rest of whatever area you're studying. I recommend locating broken code on the internet and fix it up as a random challenge.
Great way to learn IMHO
Learning so much from all of these 4 years later. thank you for all you have done with these videos. you really are amazing!

Your content saves my life right now, with the upcoming exams :D
Amazing video srsly. I really love how you make short video that explain everything instead of the 10+ min others are doing on youtube.
Learned more in this video than a lecture that had 60 pages of arrays and arraylists
Alex, you do a great job of explaining everything. Thanks for the videos, they have cleared up a lot of questions I have about Java.
Keep it up man. If could do something on maps, hashsets and trees, it would be great
Jairo Poveda thank you!

I didn't know about arraylists but this has just answered a question I had (and commented about on another one of your videos) and will make my project idea possible
Wow!!!!!!!!! where were you man ?? Now that was epic. I really enjoy your videos.
I'm glad the shortcut for the "out.println()" isn't mentioned, but the shortcut for "saving" is: CTRL + S wow, tahnk u -.-
I really like his outro: You can be anywhere in the world but you're hear with me... what a cool guy.
I know this is a year old but man you save me on my projects thanks for making coding understanding!
ur videos are actually really helpful!
