+cdsaun that's an excellent tip. Heat gun or even hair dryer, I don't think I will be likely to ever pry them again after that. I'm sold on the fishing line. For some unknown reason I couldn't stop myself while Jared was taping. Lesson learned
I removed some old sun visors off my obs with line and it absolutely demolished the paint. But the other side used heat gun to soften the adhesive and they peeled right off with a small plastic scraper.
Despite some of the rude comments, I appreciate your channel. Thank you. I have completely “Bulletproof “ my 05 and absolutely love it. I only have 120,000 miles. I just use it for a weekend truck and tow the fifth wheel. If it’s done right, the 6.0 is a great truck. Thanks 6.0 bros.
I think he should have watched a video on how to remove fender emblems before he made a video on how to remove fender emblems..😆 A heat gun on that emblem for a few minutes it would have come right off and the adhesive would have come off with it ,then rubbing alcohol will take care off the rest.
These are obviously aftermarket badges that you removed. I am wanting to remove original badges. I noticed the holes in your fenders. I am assuming that original badges have clip or nuts behind them? Would removing the inner fenders allow access?
The badges removed were original, we just years ago used acetone to remove the black paint. There is nothing holding the 99-07 badges on but the foam double sided tape
Use a hair dryer or heat gun to help loosen the adhesive. Be careful if you use any kind of pry tool it can dent the body panel but with it heated up and being careful you should be good
This how to vandalise your truck. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to preheat. NEVER use metalto pry, use fishing line or PLASTIC trim removal tools. Common sense!
if you're careful you wont damage anything however I can say I tend to try plastic tools now. I haven't had luck with the fishing line. however I think you might be a little over the top with how to vandalize your truck
Lmao what is incorrect. We do great work here and the videos we have made help a lot of people. Taking off the badge here sure it was rough but it wasn't that big of a deal. Do yourself a favor and maybe look at a full channel before you decide they cant do something. Assuming you found the video looking to take off an emblem yourself
A heat gun works miracles for that adhesive and you can pick up plastic pry bars for trim from Harbor Freight for a few bucks.

Glad to hear that man. Thanks for the support. These are great for towing
How “NOT TO” take a badge off*
lol. mistakes were made but it turned out ok

New to the channel but love the content. Appreciate your channel, lots of projects on my 6.0 so this all helps
thank you! We appreciate that a lot. if you have any questions on your build let me know
@@six0bros are you still liking the 3rd brake light installed? I’m looking to do some cosmetic mods right now bc they’re cheap, quick and satisfying
That Akita is gorgeous. Sweet little pooch
Thank you
We use goo gone for the adhesive and sticky part🤙🏼
Out here in Hawaii
I like goo gone too. Josh really likes the eraser wheel though. Both work great
That eraser wheel scared the shit out of me lol
This is Jared and yes it scares me too! However it has great reviews from a lot of people. I tend to work some goo gone in and a hair dryer
Lol I just ordered badges myself so was doing some research and even tho I just seen the wheel work I’d still be scared to use it
A utility blade and heat gun work as well
fishing string works nice too and you can use a hair dryer to help

@@six0bros , Thanks for the info
Anytime man
All kinds of ways to get that glue off but zero of them are quick, easy or fun 😂
no they are not lol
Just gave it a go I bought those same badges. Tried for a while and finally gave up. I’ll be back at it for round 2 tomorrow lol. Any tips?

6.0 Bros thank you! I’ll try out a hair dryer tomorrow 👍🏼
Happy to help man
Hey, does the smaller badge -on the door- have plugs too? Thanks Brother
The door badge does not have plugs. Just have to eye it up. I used tape to try and line mine up
@@six0bros OK. Thanks a lot! Love the vids, by the way!
Anytime man
Can you post were you got all your badge at?
Truck emblem ware house
What year emblems did you end up with?
He ended up with a modified 05 style badge
Heat gun much?
Would have been beneficial for sure lol
Was under my truck today washy washy found two cab mounts in good condition, four shot, and two with no rubber whatsoever. Ahhhh!
That sucks man. What year truck do you have?
Here is an affiliate link for the cab mounts I recommend. I will be replacing mine with these amzn.to/3g7eydh
@@six0bros Ty, sir. I'll do the easy one that is horrible then wait for the video 😁
Lol. One day it will happen, but I'll definitely be getting the s&b mounts when I do
@@six0bros It's an 06 2 owner Florida truck. 🤷♂️

3:41 ohh😮
Goof off removed the residue perfectly for me. Goo Gone did nothing...
I'll have to try that the next time
Dr.RAM RAM -you didn't even heat with goof off did you?
Eraser wheel wasnt in reverse lol....
I assume they are suppose to be in reverse
Next mod should be a real grille put on the white truck
Completely agree Kim! Very insightful
I was the 100th subscriber what did I win?
We have to work on that but we have been talking about what to do for our first 100. Thanks for subscribing.
Your welcome man
A better way is to use a woman's hair dryer blow dryer and a putty knife
Hair dryer works really good I used that the last time I did one
Dude you shouldn't be allowed anywhere near these trucks. Do yourself a favor and find something else to do instead misleading a bunch of people. 👌

Who cares. I just want to remove my 7.3 badge to slap it on the Prius
Lol
Can remove with dental floss
Didnt even think of that
Navistar makes the 6.0 motor not international.
Navistar bought international....
This is a how not to video.
And here it is the most insightful comment of the day. I will say we have gotten much better at filming the videos.
Who Cares. How's that One ???
