This exceptional conversations just highlights how important these 29 May elections are to South Africa. We have been pigeonholed by such bad governance that even the issues raised in political manifestos are rudimentary and have no vision for SA or its position on global issues. In fact the ANC only has a clear position because it is the government of the day but in reality, their manifesto says nothing and by extension so are the majority of these political parties. My vote is going to a party that isn't afraid to articulate its strategy for Africa and SA on global issues. I will happily vote for a party that is smart enough to argue that the Switch banking system, sanctions and AGOA are being used to strangle SADC as a tangible, scalable and influential trade block. I will vote for a party that is actively influencing regime changes in the continent that support African resurgence and one that isn't using the media to claim that SA' military intervention in Congo and Mozambique are a waste of money - but in fact supports the need to keep foreign interest out whilst pushing African interest to be safeguarded! I am voting EFF for more then just anti-ANC rhetoric...

What Europe, China and America has that African don't?the mindset, competence and skilled people to do their job.South Africa is facing so much problems that are not related to colonialism or white supremacy as most eff and anc politicians want the citizens to believe. Its the lack of competence skills and right Laziness and lack of accountability for actions is also huge problem.

It was always by design.. despondence usually creates laziness question is whats created the despondency?….you seem to understand very little about about colonialism if you think these things are mutually exclusive, but i guess this has become the normal rhetoric in most white homes across the globe using blatant denialism….

The Inga Dam, mega project, will never succeed without peace and stability in the Congo. It would be foolhardy for South Africa to depend on water and electricity from the Congo, with such a high risk of instability. We can't even project peace and security in the country (think of zama zama's) how will we protect the transmission lines and the dam itself.

Both China 🇨🇳 and Russia 🇷🇺 have only one person in charge of their various provinces/republics since 2013 (Xi Jinping) and 2012 (Vladimir Putin), respectively, for over 20 years 🙄.
I doubt very much that even the 16 SADC countries would be keen to have just one person in charge and still work together in harmony.
Many African countries are well known for their instability, power struggles, as everybody wants to be the president/leader which enables them to enrich themselves with obscene personal wealth.
Those who believe in these countries being united, must be living in the "cloud-cuckoo-land 😳
