Nice job on going over features. I have an older ET5410. The A+ is way nicer. I just got the ET5420A+ so it has the same features as your ET5410A+. It was worth getting it. I almost didn't get it since I already had the other load tester. But now I have to great new features. THANX!!!
I am building an electronic load for my homebrew 50V 100A supplies. it is hard to find the appropriate FETs for that power level so far it kinda works well with 20 600w Ixys FETs. They are not linear FETs sadly so there are still a few problems to be solved
Any way to save "sense" measurement after switching-off? Does it work only with lab power supply only or can be measured with battery connected as it has a voltage drop?
Not entirely sure what you mean exactly, what ever settings you apply are still there after powering it back up. It also has several battery testing features if I remember correctly and it can certainly be used with any power source including a battery.
@@Tech-Relief After reboot I have "Line Res" equal to 0 in "7. Compensation" setting. And getting correct "Line Res" is impossible on sources with voltage drop under a load.
@@mishuha Set compensation with power supply for the cables you are using for the battery test and save those settings. Compensation is directly associated with the cables used for the load test.
Not sure, is the limit set on current or wattage perhaps? It will limit itself to about 400 Watts and what ever maximum voltage, current and wattage is set in the Limit section on the display.
I am not sure if it remembers all of the settings but it seems to remember the current setting and the limits for Amps, Watts and Voltage and the settings I changed originally.
Hello .I have ordered 1 machine from china. Connected to 48V 12ah battery to measure battery capacity with discha current I=3A and V cutoff=41.5V but it doesn't show battery voltage on screen, I turn off the device and reconnected to battery it burned the wire connected to the battery. @@anhuc8314 Not sure what is going on there. It is supposed to work at those voltages and current. Perhaps, it is faulty? Maybe someone else has an idea?
@@anhuc8314 The pass transistors may be burnt. Try to supply a limited current from a regulated power supply (or just with an ohmmeter if you don't have one). No problems I use the device all the time...

Excellent video. Thanks a lot .
Glad you liked it!

Hi, Great Video! Battery Test: If I connect a 3.5V 100Ah Li cell, why can I not discharge at more than 10A? Regards, Jean

How about the load software?
Can't pass values...
The Com settings cannot be saved with me either.

If you look for it Kerry Wong did a review and he opened it up as well...

Another question for:
The baud rate on my device can only be set to a maximum of 14400 baud. How high is it?
Not sure, I don't use it that way
@@Tech-Relief Yes, I found out from the manufacturer
Do you still have this and does it still work well for you?
Yes, and it works well enough....
Where I can get a PDF of the manual for the ET5410A+ ? TIA.
I found one on the manufacturers website: www.easttester-cn.com/uploads/ET5410-ET5411-Programmable-Single-DC-Electronic-Load-User-Manual.pdf

Mine runs high all the time
The fan seems to run all the time and I am not aware that there is any settings related to fan control.

but no sound?
Is that with you too?
