I've been looking into the NWA and Rogers is looking like my cup of tea! Not to mention my sister lives there and she loves it!!! Thank you for the video!
@naturallynwahometeam there's extensive damage to rogers (mostly), Bentonville, gravette, and surrounding areas. Unconfirmed thus far 5 tornados in total I think from knwa. Everywhere South of lowell was untouched. Rogers took by far the heaviest hit. Countless businesses and homes are gone. It's going to take a while just to clear it. Probably months if not a year. Lots of open gas lines and water lines. Downtown rogers electric grid is in shambles.
I have visited there many times and like the Rogers area. One of the cons that I observed is that the roads are very narrow and traffic is congested. It does not appear that there is much room to improve/widen the roads, so they will have some challenges to try and resolve this as an issue.
I’m not sure how long it’s been since you visited, but the Interstate was widened to 3 lanes, with enough shoulder space to add a 4th if necessary. They would have a hard time widening the main roads in town, but most folks don’t think traffic is too bad around here compared to larger cities
I recently drove 270 and 71 from Hot Springs to Fort Smith, then up to NWA, then to Eureka Springs, and on to Branson. Some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever witnessed. I highly suggest it.
I currently live in the Kansas City area and the wife and I are looking to buy land in the Northwest AR area. We look the beauty of the rolling hills, nature and rock streams that Arkansas has to offer but we don’t want to be hours away from civilization, which is why Rogers, AR seems perfect. We really hope we come across something soon!
I want a house on Beaver lake, a bit of a fixer upper is fine if the bones ( electric, plumbing, roof..) are good. Are there enough properties available?
Arkansas changes slowly AND guess what? It keeps it small population get my drift? We Arkansans understand that sometimes little and slow is better in a world of cramped places.
Will u do Springdale???.. pretty please. I used to live there.. Beautiful with the best of memories. Lake parties.. had one bad memory that happend there.. said I would never return. I'm starting to change my mind. I love the streets made In Roger's made out of bricks. .
I live in Rogers. I do NOT like Springdale for several reasons I won't go into here, except to say it has a reputation for being infested with criminal gangs.
Lived in springdale back early 90s. Police were corrupt back then, they allowed a horriable man get away, forced me to move out of Arkansas, because police wouldn't protect me, found out last yr. My report that was made about the man that owned a yellow rig semi, Parker on the door. didnt make it into the system. I'm erased from the system as well. If he reads this, he'll know who I am. Still got the brand burn mark on my left forearm from his ring. Was hoping to hear, springdale cleaned up. Apparently not.
There is a lot of construction and development going on in NWA so I would imagine there would be jobs for the type of work you do. Crossland Construction, CR Crawford, and Nabholz are some of the largest commercial construction companies in NWA. And there are banks everywhere for your wife to find employment. The weather is really nice here. We have all 4 seasons. In the winter it will sometimes snow, and typically doesn’t get below freezing very often. It rains a lot in the Spring and Summer, with temps in the summer usually capping out in the 90’s, but we do reach 100 from time to time. Because it rains a lot here, we do have a fair amount of humidity, but it’s not like living in Louisiana or Texas where you start sweating as soon as you walk outside.
I lived there way back in the middle of the last century and they most definitely did not allow booze of any kind. Sorry to see it get there. Haven't been back since the early nineties and it had even changed a bunch then.
Don’t move here unless you love Walmart and Walmart shopping. There is nothing else to shop at other than Walmart. I hate living here because Walmart and the local municipalities won’t let top of the line stores, grocery or shops move into Northwest Arkansas.
I’m not sure the local municipalities are preventing high end shops from coming here, but I could see them telling Amazon to take a hike since WalMart was here first. There is a Whole Foods in Fayetteville 🤷🏻♂️
Come to Los Angeles and you’ll change your mind! Walmart sells the same brand as the Union grocery stores that are everywhere in California, for nearly half the cost.

Question for Eric and locals. I have had to escape the economic destruction in Nevada and now Utah caused by the California transplant plague. My other half and I are looking at Arkansas because it seems to be off the California hipster radar. Have you or anyone seen a dramatic uptick in California transplants? Right now the cost of living in North West Arkansas is comparable to what Nevada was before the left coast infiltrated and destroyed our economy.
