This one is surprisingly good. At first, I thought "wait a barbarian samouraï ? No way, the rage feels off, they don't have a moral code or.." But they have. Dragon barbarians explicitly have a code of honour (they can't be insulted without reacting), a lot of anime-style characters are full of anger, even if focused (see Tanjiro in the last DS season and tell me he never rages lol), and they wield an actual katana. This one sounds great to me !
Just recently found your channel and I love it! I've been GMing PF1 and PF2 since their respective release dates, and I'm always happy to see these games I love find new talented voices in the community. As a "recovering weeb" nearing my 40s, these videos speak to me directly, and now I'm tinkering with builds with similar themes. Wishing the best for you and your channel, and looking forward to part 4!
This is a Genius Idea. I never Thought about a Barbarian Samurai ❤ Love the Idea. I once tamperd with the Idea of a "Viking " Sword and Board Berseker.- Barbarian.
A little thing, any class and ancestry can qualify for dragon disciple dedication, since it is not a pre-requisite but the fact that draconic sorcerer and barbarian as well as some Kobold always have access to it despite it being uncommon
About the armor: My friend played a Fighter Samurai in fullplate in Fist of the Ruby Phoenix, but all anyone else ever saw was a simple cloth outfit. That's because the Soulforger archetype is great in both flavour and mechanics for this trope. It lets you shield your body with armor made entirely from your will and conviction and it can look like anything you want. In his case it was simply an invisible force that deflected blades and arrows alike.
EDIT: of course I made this comment before watching part 4 lol A quick note about Dragon Disciple - it has *access* requirements, not prerequisites. What's the difference? To quote pg 23 of the GM Core "Unlike a Prerequisites entry, an Access entry never speaks to mechanical requirements needed to make the rules function, so if you’d like to modify Access requirements, you can do so without worrying about altering game balance." So talk to your GM if you want to be a dragon-samurai but not a barbarian.
Any GM who has a problem with reflavoring of class features that do not change the function of class features needs to be taken out to the woodshed and re-educated imho.
The reflavoring of the dragon instinct and rage made me think of the breathing styles from demon slayer.

Loving the build ideas. You started this as I was tinkering with a few anime inspired builds, so this has been fun watching and reading the comments.

That would then be up to the dm if you’re allowed to take the class. Best to play it safe and make sure you can take it RAW
A bonus part 4 is the best news I've heard all week! Looking forward to it, and been loving this series :)
I mean, it's not like you need to make a whole video to teach us how to build Guts, anyway.
Just make a Giant Instinct Barbarian. Boom. You're done.
Very cool video, gave me an idea for a Vishkanya swordsman who uses venom on their sword before entering a battle trance to fight.
Looking forward to the bonus 4th video.

So much fun. Can't wait for part 4. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!
I remember making a weeb samurai in pathfinder :)
It was a magus

Great series man, as a Monk and Barb fan I love these
Thank you
Flavor is free.
Looking forward to part 4! I have to echo the people who are saying this is a fantastic Demon Slayer build.
I think this works even better with PC2 and the new Dragonblood heritage
As someone who has trained under a waterfall in winter with no shirt, I'm deeply offended 😂

Maybe just a gentle talking to first? Don’t want to match toxicity with toxicity. But yeah, I get your joke.
