21:50-21:44 Hard to say Ukraine has won/is winning 'most of the rounds' when 20% of their territory is still occupied. It's more like Russia is leading on points, but has a bad open cut, whereas Ukraine is battered but not bleeding out. Yes, a KO is possible at any time. Their latest offensive efforts have been too much loss in equipment and personnel for minimal gains and insufficient losses inflicted on the Russians. However, I suspect that it's part of testing the new equipment and gaining on the job experience. The next time Ukraine takes M2 Bradley and Leopard 2A6s to combat they will have learned their lessons. Part of the problem is lack of familiarity with the Western equipment, revised Russians tactics, renewed Russian reinforcements and of course, the evolving nature of warfare. It's battle of measures, counter-measures, counter-counter-measures, and so on.

The "Inform" part is a little misleading. Russian forces lacked recon drone capabilities only in the first months of the war. But they have caught up with Ukrainian forces in quality and quantity of drone recon and warfare very quickly, and even have an upper hand on many sectors of the frontline. I know it from my friends on the frontline, you can know about it by reading many reviews and concerns from Ukrainian soldiers. You could have summed it up quicker by being honest and saying Ukraine has lost 400,000 troops and 50,000 have lost at least one limb. Even more you could have just said Ukraine is screwed.

But isnt it true ?? Ukrainians are outnumbered with less equipment, yet they have contained worlds second largest army to 1/4 of their territory and are slowly but surely taking back land, despite Russians having months to dig themselves in. It's safe to say Ukrainians have won most rounds, but the current battle seems to be in Russians favor simply because they have more numbers and it remains to be seen how far UAF can go before their numbers dwindle.

A lot of bloodshed could have been prevented if the west had gotten off of their asses from the beginning and given Ukraine full support with advanced weapon systems instead of trickling in a few systems here and there for most of 2022. Giving them "just enough" to hold on basically insured the fighting was as costly as possible for both sides since neither side was able to overwhelm the other.

Russia was one of the biggest producers of military equipment prior to the war (mainly for export), and they have ramped that up significantly, mean while the west has exhausted their stock piles of ammo, and it might take them years to ramp up production just to what Ukraine needs, if NATO have no ammo for Ukrainians do you think they can support their own troops fighting against the Russians but even if they could Putin has now stated the donbas is Russian territory, NATO troops on Russian territory could be the trigger to start letting the nukes fly, and once they do who will stop them, you?

9:46 I have always naturally assumed that NATO is providing Ukraine with intelligence, but I understood that Washington had (officially) denied that it provided the intelligence which allowed the strikes on Russian command centres. This issue is of great political importance, because any country might sell arms to any other country, but to provide real time intelligence which is used to inflict losses on one side is effectively to become a combatant. This would make NATO a combatant in the war.

The conflicts you describe were universally recognised as proxy wars between the west and the USSR during the Cold War. I am surprised you do not know that, perhaps you are very young if it comes to you as a surprise. I lived through most pf the Cold War so it is obvious to me and everyone of that era. They were what is called LIMITED wars. In a limited war neither homeland is threatened. In other words during Korea and Vietnam wars neither the US homeland, nor the Soviet homeland were attacked militarily. These were part of the 'rules' of the Cold War which prevented nuclear war. What we have today is something much, much more dangerous. It is an "Asymmetrical TOTAL WAR". In other words the west is trying to play it as a 'limited war', by not sending troops which might attract attacks on NATO countries, but also enabling attacks on the Russian homeland, thus making it a "total war" for Russia. The goal is even economic, political collapse and regime change in Russia. Think tanks in Washington proudly declaim how they will support the break up of the Russian Federation after the regime change, to prevent Russia rising again in the future. This is WW3 and personally I rate it at 80% that there will be a nuclear war in the next few years. The west would NOT have got into this position a few decades ago. WW3 has happened because of the gross deskilling of the foreign policy elite in Washington and the gross imbalance of power after the Cold War which sent foreign policy makers in Washington mad with power. They thus adopted a totally 'UNREALISTIC' foreign policy in the technical sense. Another crucial rule of the Cold War is also being broken today, that Russian and US troops should never be in active combat in the same country. This is being violated in Syria, which also provides a high risk of escalation to TOTAL WAR.

The Kiev government controls a population reduced to around 20 millions, after 10 millions Ukrainians fled the country, and onther 10 millions live in the Russian annexed regions and about 500,000 people are war casualties. The government is forcibly recruiting men from everywhere, even men over 50 years of age. In the meantime the country has already been sold off to Black Rock for a post war reconstruction. Ukraine is just a puppet of the US Deep State. Western equipments shipped to Ukraine are just prolonging the war causing more casualties. The end result will be a peace negotiation with Russia formalising the loss of Donbass.
Russia is increasing the use of its FAB-500s (500kg dumb bombs) with glide attachments. Russia has millions of them. They are dropping them from as far as 50km+.

You neglect to mention that Russia initially attacked the strongest and biggest army in Europe with only 120,000 troops most of which were Militias and only 50,000 were regular Russian army. In March of 22 both sides were already negotiating an end to the fighting but this was stopped after Boris Johnson assured Zelensky that the US and NATO would supply everthing necessary for Ukraine to win the war. Well, Ukraine is toast, its a fight they can never win. Russia will always have escalation dominance, nobody can match their industrial output of weapons and ammunition of all types. Ukraine has suffered anywhere from 300,000-400,000 KIA, its been a slaughter. What good are Western weapons when there are no soldiers left to use them. The smart thing to do would be to negotiate a peace deal but at this point why should Russia not finish the operation it started and accomplish all its aims. NATO is big on words but short on results. NATO, US hubris and tactics work exceptionally well against lightly armed goat herders and fifth rate militaries but obviously, against a peer nuclear superpower not so much. People never learn, poke the Russian bear and hell will come for breakfast. Much to his displeasure, a certain little man with a funny mustache found this out 78 years ago.

Hard to say Ukraine has won/is winning 'most of the rounds' when 20% of their territory is still occupied. It's more like Russia is leading on points, but has a bad open cut, whereas Ukraine is battered but not bleeding out. Yes, a KO is possible at any time.
Their latest offensive efforts have been too much loss in equipment and personnel for minimal gains and insufficient losses inflicted on the Russians. However, I suspect that it's part of testing the new equipment and gaining on the job experience. The next time Ukraine takes M2 Bradley and Leopard 2A6s to combat they will have learned their lessons. Part of the problem is lack of familiarity with the Western equipment, revised Russians tactics, renewed Russian reinforcements and of course, the evolving nature of warfare. It's battle of measures, counter-measures, counter-counter-measures, and so on.

The "Inform" part is a little misleading. Russian forces lacked recon drone capabilities only in the first months of the war. But they have caught up with Ukrainian forces in quality and quantity of drone recon and warfare very quickly, and even have an upper hand on many sectors of the frontline. I know it from my friends on the frontline, you can know about it by reading many reviews and concerns from Ukrainian soldiers. Also there's tons of drone video materials from Russian side all over the internet.
By now I think we can say that AFU offensive is bogged down by AFRF defense. So unless NATO steps in to provide air support, Ukraine is screwed.

You could have summed it up quicker by being honest and saying Ukraine has lost 400,000 troops and 50,000 have lost at least one limb. Even more you could have just said Ukraine is screwed.

Ukrainians are outnumbered with less equipment, yet they have contained worlds second largest army to 1/4 of their territory and are slowly but surely taking back land, despite Russians having months to dig themselves in. It's safe to say Ukrainians have won most rounds, but the current battle seems to be in Russians favor simply because they have more numbers and it remains to be seen how far UAF can go before their numbers dwindle.

I understand his POV, sincethe rounds won by ukranie had been heavily propagandized, while the ones won by the russian are always downplayed, yet since the fiasco of the counter offensive, it's silly to say that the west still had the upper hand.
A lot of bloodshed could have been prevented if the west had gotten off of their asses from the beginning and given Ukraine full support with advanced weapon systems instead of trickling in a few systems here and there for most of 2022. Giving them "just enough" to hold on basically insured the fighting was as costly as possible for both sides since neither side was able to overwhelm the other.
Might start asking questions about who might profit the most from this.
A lot of bloodshead could have been prevented if the west never had gotten involved in Ukraine in the first place and let Ukraine and Russia resolve the Crimea and East Ukraine disputes. I'd even go as far as saying as let the locals vote, but the west wouldn't like the results. History matters.

Bloodshed could have been avoided if NATO had not pushed eastwards! After the collapse of the Soviet Union there was no reason for the existence of NATO excpet to allow the US to continue to dominate Europe militarily! The Americans are responsiblr for this war and bloodshed as they were in East Asia for 25 years and the Middle East for 40 years. Now they have brought war to Europe God knows for how long!

Good analysis! Unfortunately this war is already lost for Ukraine, there's no way they'll be able to sustain such high casualties . It's time for US and NATO to deploy troops and get involved directly in the conflict and solve the war for once and for all.

@@trqster Yes they have to concede to the new reality, they had the option of Ukraine staying Neutral, and keeping the Donbas as part of Ukraine but allowing Russian speakers to have some autonomy and not be persecuted as was outlined in the Minsk Accords, but on the advice of the US and UK the clown in Ukraine choose war, the loss of 20% of the country land, the destruction of 100s of Billions worth of infrastructure, the complete destruction of the Ukrainian economy, ensuring the Ukrainian population will be saddled with huge debts for decades to come and be forced to sell off natural assets to US vulture funds.
What everyone seems to forget is that Ukraine had the 2nd biggest army in Europe, which since 2014 was trained and supplied by the west. Russia destroyed that army and most of their equipment, the US got a lot of ex communist countries to transfer their large stocks of Soviet tanks and weapons to make up for all the loses, Ukraine mobilized hundreds of thousands of more men, the Russians destroyed those men and equipment provided by ex soviet states. Which brings us to the so called current counter offensive, where the Ukrainian again mobilized 10s of thousands of men, and received Billions and billions worth of Tanks, APC, Artillery and so on which within a couple of weeks of the offensive the Russians had destroyed up to 33% of it.
Russia was one of the biggest producers of military equipment prior to the war (mainly for export), and they have ramped that up significantly, mean while the west has exhausted their stock piles of ammo, and it might take them years to ramp up production just to what Ukraine needs, if NATO have no ammo for Ukrainians do you think they can support their own troops fighting against the Russians but even if they could Putin has now stated the donbas is Russian territory, NATO troops on Russian territory could be the trigger to start letting the nukes fly, and once they do who will stop them, you?

@user-ml6xc1hh8t We totally agree, but the western world will never accept Russia's victory especially the US after having invested billions (+200 & counting) so far. There are huge economic interests in stake especially from the US in several areas, from the military, to energy consortiums to reconstrunction deals already in place to take over Ukraine after Russia's 'defeat'. They'll fight until the last ukranian fighter falls then escalate even more if necessary. Doomsday lurks just around the corner for us all...
What did he mean saying that the Ukrainians won most of the rounds? I don't see Ukrainians troops in Belgorod or Kursk or even close to Azov sea. So why is there such conclusion of Ukrain winning one round by another? Sounds like propaganda which is the last thing I wanted to hear from the Colonel.

9:46 I have always naturally assumed that NATO is providing Ukraine with intelligence, but I understood that Washington had (officially) denied that it provided the intelligence which allowed the strikes on Russian command centres. This issue is of great political importance, because any country might sell arms to any other country, but to provide real time intelligence which is used to inflict losses on one side is effectively to become a combatant. This would make NATO a combatant in the war.

The conflicts you describe were universally recognised as proxy wars between the west and the USSR during the Cold War. I am surprised you do not know that, perhaps you are very young if it comes to you as a surprise. I lived through most pf the Cold War so it is obvious to me and everyone of that era. They were what is called LIMITED wars. In a limited war neither homeland is threatened. In other words during Korea and Vietnam wars neither the US homeland, nor the Soviet homeland were attacked militarily. These were part of the 'rules' of the Cold War which prevented nuclear war. What we have today is something much, much more dangerous. It is an "Asymmetrical TOTAL WAR". In other words the west is trying to play it as a 'limited war', by not sending troops which might attract attacks on NATO countries, but also enabling attacks on the Russian homeland, thus making it a "total war" for Russia. The goal is even economic, political collapse and regime change in Russia. Think tanks in Washington proudly declaim how they will support the break up of the Russian Federation after the regime change, to prevent Russia rising again in the future. This is WW3 and personally I rate it at 80% that there will be a nuclear war in the next few years. The west would NOT have got into this position a few decades ago. WW3 has happened because of the gross deskilling of the foreign policy elite in Washington and the gross imbalance of power after the Cold War which sent foreign policy makers in Washington mad with power. They thus adopted a totally 'UNREALISTIC' foreign policy in the technical sense. Another crucial rule of the Cold War is also being broken today, that Russian and US troops should never be in active combat in the same country. This is being violated in Syria, which also provides a high risk of escalation to TOTAL WAR.

Quite a biased analysis with too many omissions. So far the Ukrainian counter offensive made insignificant or no progress. Capturing a handful of smallest villages for huge losses, like the practically destroyed elite 47th brigade equipped with Leopards and Bradley and trained by NATO. Russia has also successfully counterattacked in some sectors of the front. Ukraine is suffering a terrible depletion of manpower. The Kiev government controls a population reduced to around 20 millions, after 10 millions Ukrainians fled the country, and onther 10 millions live in the Russian annexed regions and about 500,000 people are war casualties. The government is forcibly recruiting men from everywhere, even men over 50 years of age. In the meantime the country has already been sold off to Black Rock for a post war reconstruction. Ukraine is just a puppet of the US Deep State. Western equipments shipped to Ukraine are just prolonging the war causing more casualties. The end result will be a peace negotiation with Russia formalising the loss of Donbass.

Russia is increasing the use of its FAB-500s (500kg dumb bombs) with glide attachments. Russia has millions of them. They are dropping them from as far as 50km+.
Very good analysis with a fatal flaw and that is using western inputs only which are very far from accurate in order to paint Ukraine and the western weapons in way better way than they perform. You can not come to correct conclusion based on PR flawed input.
Blah, blah, blah. You neglect to mention that Russia initially attacked the strongest and biggest army in Europe with only 120,000 troops most of which were Militias and only 50,000 were regular Russian army. In March of 22 both sides were already negotiating an end to the fighting but this was stopped after Boris Johnson assured Zelensky that the US and NATO would supply everthing necessary for Ukraine to win the war. Well, Ukraine is toast, its a fight they can never win. Russia will always have escalation dominance, nobody can match their industrial output of weapons and ammunition of all types. Ukraine has suffered anywhere from 300,000-400,000 KIA, its been a slaughter. What good are Western weapons when there are no soldiers left to use them. The smart thing to do would be to negotiate a peace deal but at this point why should Russia not finish the operation it started and accomplish all its aims. NATO is big on words but short on results. NATO, US hubris and tactics work exceptionally well against lightly armed goat herders and fifth rate militaries but obviously, against a peer nuclear superpower not so much. People never learn, poke the Russian bear and hell will come for breakfast. Much to his displeasure, a certain little man with a funny mustache found this out 78 years ago.
