Dear Tara, I know you probably won’t see this, but I’m curious if there are vocal coaches who specialize in training people who are mimics. My voice has an intermittent ability to mimic certain qualities and abilities of singers I can hear or remember. But I cannot control it, and if my brain gets tired, my voice loses much of its singing ability. I would love to know if there are coaches that can help me learn to control my ability or at least enable me to sing well when my mind is tired or I can’t “hear” what I want to sound like.

If you want to hear an interesting vocalist, please check out the group 'Garnet Crow.' Yuri Nakamura is the lead singer of the group and has an abnormally low voice for a woman. Garnet Crow mostly does outro and intro songs for Japanese anime. They have done several for the show Detective Conan and for a lesser known anime MAR Heaven others as well and others I don't remember. I recommend the live version of their song 'Mysterious Eyes'.
I was wondering if having a nodule can strain your vocal cords.I have one on the right side of my thyroid a little over 1 centimeter and just had a biopsy on it.So I always feel like I have something stuck in my throat. I used to be a soprano but now sing alto.or can allergies strain your vocal chords
Yeah but what i mean is that the whisky here affected to JD Sumner vocal cords, so there was a contact between the substance and his vocal folds in order to get lower
@@marioleb4079 Was this over a long period of drinking? Most men's voices get lower over time anyway but when drying from alcohol is added it can get worse. Drying as in his whole body is dehydrated

So back when I was in choir in high school, a teacher told me that jolly ranchers can be a lubricant for the voice. I never researched it but that's always stuck with me. Was that misinformation as well?
One interesting "hack" I've heard is people drinking a swig of olive oil before singing to lubricate the vocal chords. Is this legit or is this just asking for a tummy ache?

Yes another hack that doesn’t work as intended. Like I mention in the video, swallowing anything doesn’t actually reach the vocal cords.
