I don't understand or like this at all whatsoever . The better explanation would be since Luffy can create anything he can conceive and anything he wants can become malleable it would make more sense that LUFFY transformed Bonny into a rubber malleable gear 5 type appearance . This would make the most sense since he is the only one with the mythical zoan model Nika . Not Bonny . So he's the only one who could cause this transformation in other people . That's the much better explanation otherwise this means anyone can awaken a sun god Nika form as long as they feel 'free' 😂😂😂 fucking stuuuuuuuupid bro

There is a possibility that Bonney turning into Nika Form may or may not be her fruit ability but actually Luffy's. Remember what Gorosei said Luffy fruit is so powerful that he can do anything with it he just needs to imagine & Before Bonney turns into Nika form Luffy said it to her that I dont know how your Devil fruit ability works but I know you got this. Which means Luffy is believing and imagining Bonney as Nika which can also be the reason why she is able to get in that form, Imagine how cool it will be if Luffy's powers work like this.
we are on the same page because I was thinking the exact same thing
not really. we've seen Nika-like feats from Bonney during her past. she can transform her body and people referred to her as "false nika" or whatever worth that was. meaning she could've done this way back in her flashback but she lack any mastery to it. just like Luffy who happened to unlock it during the Kaido fight.
Interesting. And I predicted this a while ago. Luffy will be able to give variations of his powers to other people. We just have no idea what other powers will manifest when given to another person.

Cool idea, but if you think about it. Bonney‘s parallel future ability is just broken. She can basically copy every devil fruit, by tapping into a parallel universe where she has that devil fruit. So it‘s very much possible that she copies Luffy‘s devil fruit. I think the only important thing is that she can envision such a parallel universe

My prediction will be:
- everyone reacting to Bonney's form, but unlike Luffy, no one's eyes pop out.
- we even see the Seraphim seeing it from a far (and S-Snake acts more like Hancock is with Luffy).

i love the ending of this chapter, it's wholesome and that girl deserves to smile after that brutal backstory.

@@mohpe1416 Nika is a symbol of hope and the embodiment of freedom. If anything, being able to share that power with bonney only makes it more iconic. Nika and gear 5 is not a singular thing exclusive to Luffy. Nika is literally considered to be a god which existed in prior times. The embodiment of nika is not just joyboy itself but what they stand for and how it affects the people around them.
Why is Bonney able to become Nika?
Based off logic her ability lets her become a possible future, therefore younger she is the more she can dream about her future. Luffy is already proven to be nika and nika is shown to come from a devil fruit meaning Bonney will never be able to become nika.
Thing is, Bonney doesn't know that this form is because of a devil fruit because Luffy doesn't realize it either and the explanation he did give was he has that form when he's "free". So Bonney got this form based off Luffy's incorrect/vague explanation.

Tbh this is my favorite part about OP that makes gear 5 makes sense. Luffy is spreading his form to others is really fitting here to his character spreading joy.
