i think elmer was the only one with NHL points in this game, (call me if im wrong), and it showed. his upside is tremendeous. potential of becoming a true difference maker in the NHL.
i want lalonde to put soderblom on the wing on the PP in the preseason.. test it. his reach is so huge, he can find angles other can not or just blast one on net.
Good game. Agree with the announcers and rivalries. Wish the wings were still in the central. Miss the Stars, Avs, Wings rivalry. Hockey is so sanitized now. No real hitting until the playoffs. Games don't really matter until the last mins. You're not missing anything. Teams need to play in their conferences/divisions more.
Back to back chances to shoot for Wallinder on that first PP and he gifted turnovers. The second ended in the goal for Dallas. Cossa looking shakey! Elmer looking dominant. Good to see Lombardi taking face offs and Kasper looked like he was buzzing too. Mixed bag in this game.
Good win for the Dallas prospects. The Detroit prospects are better on paper than what they are putting on the ice. Bednar is playing better than Cossa at this point.
Dallas looked like a better coached team, they had puck support and they dominated speciality teams. The wings looked like they were trying to just outskill the stars.
Wings dominanted puck possession and at multiple points during the game seemed like they were playing keep away against multiple Stars lines. It’s just that those turnovers while rare happened and the Stars capitalized as they should. Wings need scorers BAD, Soderblom looks to be the guy, but he needs others to support him, can’t do it himself
@@TheUnnamedAssailant I agree they dominated puck possession, but it wasn't like they had the stars pinned down. They had no defensive structure, and they looked lost on the power play. The wings had more skill, but it looked like everyone wanted to try cute little moves that will not work against AHL/NHL caliber players. The stars kept most shots to the outside which makes it easy on the goalie.
Dallas has a lot of high end prospects?I doubt that the highest rated is likely Stankovan but I am not impressed as he is small and plays small. The biggest peeve i had with him at the WJC was that he never shot the puck.IMO Dallas has very little in way of top end prospects so once Benn and Seguin and Pavelski leave they will drop out of the playoffs.
Johnston, Bourque and Stankoven were all MVP winners of their respective leagues. Doesn't guarantee they are the highest end of prospects possible (just look at their draft positions) but they are certainly up there in expectation since that's not exactly an easy thing to achieve. After that though, yes, not a lot of high end talent.....at least not expected to be. They haven't drafted high in a while after all. However, a lot of the better ones are still decently good with some potential so it's not like their prospect pool is hopeless or anything. Especially when their development program has been pretty good lately what with getting guys like Robo and Johnston out so well and turning "duds" into at least 4th line viable guys ad nauseam. And speaking of Robo and Johnston...you really think that the young core Dallas has put together, that's already carrying the Stars on a nightly basis, is somehow going to be useless when the older guys move on? That's one hell of a take that screams of ignorance.
Lmfao at your comment because it goes against what all the experts are saying which is not only are the Stars a top 5 team this year, but the future is massively bright for the next 10 years. Stanky, Bourque, and Stranges are all going to be top end skill players in the NHL, and Bichsel who is only a baby is going to be a monster on the blue line. But good luck to your team though. 😂😂😂

not sure if you are referring to just the red wings, but Blumel for the Stars has a goal at the NHL level.
Elmer with the first goal of the preseason. Nice!

My vote for Detroit's players who stood out the most- Soderblom & Lombardi
I’d add Hanas in there and maybe Kasper
Future looks bright for Motown

Has been a long time ive watched a game the winged wheel handled the physical side with ease and grace... great fight by buddy... ice cold
Nice win for the Dallas prospects
Seider for captain.

Bichsel is going to be a MONSTER!
I was going to watch this stream, but then Regner opened his mouth

Not true at all lmao cossa just really struggled

Why isnt Soderblom on the roster already. They're like wasting his time at this point

The wings looked absolutely lost in the last 4 minutes of this game. Like you can be desperate but not look desperate guys..
I watched most of this game on mute. I can only listen so long to Art Regner. Im sure he's a good guy but. Its like nails on a chalkboard for 2 hours.
The future does not look bright for the Wings. 7th place this year, and the Sabres will rule the division in the future. The Yzerplan isn’t working.

Okayyy just go watch golf ⛳ maybe you could have any clue about it

They dominated. Cossa did not look good
Dominated what? The puck was in Dallas d-zone like 70% of the game. Probably from Texas, LOL
