    You guys are true off-roaders. Too many people around here think wheelin means driving as fast as you can through a mud pit breaking a tie rod, or some other front end component every time. I don't think my f150 could do what these FJs can!

    Excellent video without unnecessary music in the background.

    Respect for the guy in the yellow FJ as he had tires that looked pretty close to highway rated ones and that too in stock size. Well done.

    I love my 2012 Cement..... though I'd never take it 4wd'ing (yeah I know).... I just love cruising around in it....

      Zal Moxis dude you have to, lol
      You will love it, if you dont have any experience join a club and learn as you go with experts guiding you as you go, start with a uhf radio and go from there, you dont need to spend mega $$$$ decking out the rig before you start, these guys are doing all this on stock tyres.
      Also most insurance companies will cover you in the bush as long as the car is legal and you are on a marked track on the map.

    ...and that trail looks like a real ball buster although it ain't much worse than the road that goes up to my grandma'-in-law's house right on the eastern edge of the Beartooth Wilderness Area in south central Montana. We can take that no problem in a Ford 250 although I think I could take it a lot easier in my FJ.

    I see a lot of these FJs on the highway in a variety of bright colors and was wondering how capable they are off road. They look to be able to hold their own. How would these compare off road to the Land Rover Defender?

    • @BirdManVRX
      @BirdManVRX  5 лет назад +1

      They are very capable Paul, even without any mods. I'm not sure how they compare with a Defender as I've never had a Defender along on our trips

      I have 190k of hard work towing a 22 foot boat 2 times a week and beach driving 3 days a week doing recovery work and go on a 1k round trip to a 2week snow run twice a year weather permit and never had a check eng light or so much as replaced a bearing or bushing upgraded shocks and tires land rovers stay in the shop to much to tell what they can do and jeep is a Chrysler product now not even a jeep anymore they have to be highly modified to be off road worthy. and still have a lot of bullshit problems.

    • @fritty9927

      They use FJ’s to recover rovers and jeeps😆

    FJ cruisers are awesome. You just need to twin lock them and learn how to drive around on 3 wheels

    I have a huge amount of respect for y'all Aussies but I would recommend y'all take some of that armour off the front end and lighten it up. It would cost you about as much to replace the bumper parts as those 500 kilo bumpers cost.

    • @BirdManVRX
      @BirdManVRX  8 лет назад +3

      We need bumpers that big and strong to protect from Kangaroo strikes. Those big Roos in the outback can clean up a vehicle and come out of the bush faster than you can blink, so a little extra weight is well worth the extra protection it affords William.

      William Doyle you need the bars, there's cows camels kangaroos and goats and sheep all over the place

    I guess they don't believe in having good All Terrain M/S tires on their FJ's in Aussie Land. Nothing worse than boonie crashing with bad street tires.. LOL

    Does the yellow rig have a lift?

    • @BirdManVRX
      @BirdManVRX  8 лет назад

      Yes, all FJ's featured have 2" lifts

    • @Fuz1
      @Fuz1 4 года назад

      @@BirdManVRX For real? You mean the dude in the yellow rig spent money on a 2" lift before spending money on A/T or M/T tyres ?

    whats that noise around 2:15?

    • @BirdManVRX
      @BirdManVRX  5 лет назад

      Hi Michelle. I think the noise you are referring to is one of the rear springs shifting in it's seat. A kind of clicking sound.
