Both, 1k Phew and Skooly's verses talked about having to overcome hard times and circumstances in their lives. Also, both talked about temptation but in different ways. 1k Phew closed out his verse with a bridge that highlighted how he doesn't want to hang out with negative people anymore even though he still has love for the people he grew up with. ("But I still don't want the pain changing me/Tryna waste your life, no way you can hang with me") Then the Chorus comes in where he's saying heat wave, which in the song, is a representation of Hell's fire. Hince, "I don't wanna spend my life swimming in them big flames" (Hell's Fire). Now we jump to Skooly's verse. He's rapping about his lifetime struggles and pain that he's had to endure, which has brought a significant amount of darkness into his thoughts. Example. ("I wanna kill, kill who killed my brother"). He also talked about feelings of loneliness from people not believing in him or being there for him which led to things like popping pills because he couldn't sleep as a result of those feelings.
