I flew on the KLM 777-300ER Flight 621 from Amsterdam Schipol to Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson back on August 7th. It was actually a good flight. We left Amsterdam at 5pm and had a nice cruise over the Atlantic with a pass over Greenland which was nice. I chatted with the cabin crew in the back for almost a whole hour while stretching my legs. They were really friendly and the food was ok for economy class. We landed at 8pm in Atlanta and had to wait forever at the immigration line lol. In general a great experience and memory for me as it was my first time on any 777 as well as first time on a KLM long haul haul flight. The video brought back great memories for me and I really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!
Flew KLM many times and my first flight on the 747 was with KLM - always enjoy and have great collection of the Dutch ceramic houses that they gave as gift in business! Excellent airline and plan to use them to Asia!
I flew the KLM 777 from Atlanta back to Amsterdam last September and it was indeed quite cramped. Luckily, I had ordered a special meal as I'm lactose intolarant, so I didn't get one of the regular meals. I'll be flying KLM again from Amsterdam to Atlanta in December, but they're now flying their A330's there so I hope I'll have some more room 🙂 They also switched to the B787 Dreamliner for their red eye flights from Atlanta to Amsterdam, which I'll be taking in February of next year. I generally fly KLM and Delta as they offer the best connections to get me from Amsterdam to Tampa. Delta does offer direct flights from Amsterdam to Orlando during the winter months, but I hate being on a plane with a bunch of Disney crazed people 🙂
Thanks for your comment! Yeah, I was very surprised by the experience myself. KLM has a great reputation, and honestly, I was very underwhelmed. The seats were cramped, and it didn't help that my seatmate was in my space the entire flight. The A330-300s have an older cabin designed with a more dated entertainment system. From what I understand, the A332s have been retrofitted with the newer cabin design that the 777s have. Personally. I'd probably go for a Delta flight over KLM since it is much more comfortable.
@@travelingadventureswithdan3181 Oh, I'll be doing Delta again in June next year, Amsterdam to Detroit and then onto Tampa 🙂 And, of course the flights between Atlanta and Tampa are always Delta :-) They're doing those with their 757's.
We fly every year with my wife to Colombia to visit her family. ( Amsterdam to Panama and Panama to Medellin by Copa Airlines ). Every time we take KLM..but last year we take Air France...it was wowww..even that they use a B777-300 also.. but the experience was much better.. as services ( champagne, cognac.. better food) Buuuut...in 10 hours of flight I usualy like to have conversation with flight attendent in the back where is the service of gooodies ;))) and every time I get more food..more drink from KLM personell ..so yeah for me was a good experience..but I have to admit that AirFrance was quite better.. :)
Klm is a decent airliner but with an aging fleet. While on board of one of theirs A330's you will definitively feel that no refurbishments have been done to the interior for quite a few years. I remember that they were some of the last airliners to fly with MD's 11.
@@TheColinChapman Exactly. People are voting with their wallets. Besides 10 abreast on 777s is the norm nowadays. It’s uncomfortable but reality on most airlines.
Poor Food? Cramped seat and small IFE? I don't know what you are talking about. Fly KLM yourself at you will se it isn't like that. The food is the best in Europe for Economy and the seats aren't cramped at all! Me, a long Dutch person fits easy.

This has helped me feel more safe thank you. I got a flight in a few weeks with this airline.

What happened to klm, few years ago it was lot better than it looks like in this video😳
Legroom didn't look too good. Im flying them first time this summer. How tall are you?

Yes it was last airline flying passenger md-11. KLM A330s retire soon so i don’t think they do anything for them..
Mijn ervaring met klm is altijd goed. Je klaag te veel. Onzin
Flew this exact route a few days ago. I ordered the chicken dish too and it ended up hurting my stomach-
I quite agree with your comments. Air France, is further better for instance, and also Bristish Airways and Lufthansa.
Amsterdam to Singapore, klote
😞 Promo sm
Yikes. The small cramped seats, poor food, small IFE, they need to do better than that.
I agree that it can be done better. but basically, you get what you pay for.
