Multicam of Muse's new song "Panic Station" live at Cologne, Germany on their first show for The 2nd Law tour. Thanks to all the owners of the videos featured!
im gonna buy the album anyway.. i know i can have the songs for free in an awesome super hyper ultra hd quality.. but the joy of having the actual album in your hands and the dream that someday muse could sign it is worth it!
it's awesome how they sound so good and so "muse" even changing their style, I like the new album. just an addition: maybe they tried to avoid the difficulty to create something "old muse style" that, with high probabilities, wouldn't be as good as their masterpieces like newborn, plug in baby, bliss, citizen erased, hysteria, KoC.....just a thought
It's amazing how they can make great songs in whatever style they want o.O Muse could rap (no offence to fans of rap & hip-hop) and I'd probably still love it!
Okay people, here you go. The best songs are (in the album's order): Supremacy Panic Station Animals Save Me Liquid State Yes, Chris is sooo good that he could be Muse's new singer-songwriter. You'll love him more than Matt on this record.
They're doing what every artist wants to do, explore new styles. Did you think Queen had one style? Heck, Queen ranged from pop to heavy metal. Every band tries new things. RHCP tried various styles, Radiohead did and I can go on. It's not about losing anything, it's about exploring new ideas. Beatles, Rolling Stones, they've all done it.
If you've noticed, they all have a heavyish 'four on the floor' style of drumming- speed up Back In Black to AOBTD's tempo and you can hear similarities too imo.
the intro has Another one bites the dust written all over it, but then it goes into some Ghostbustery funky shit either way I think i'll love this after a few more listens
Listen to it again. The WHOLE thing. There's funk guitar in it and the vocal pattern is very similar. I'm all for vouching for Muse's originality but it's becoming easier to compare them to other acts. They are still my favorite band, and I really do like this song. It's just they really do sound like someone else at times. Like the new song explorers is a mix of the songs No surprises by radiohead and don't stop me now by Queen. I do love Supremacy, animals, and chris's songs as well.
Yea, that's true. I agree the vibe is different. I saw most similarities in the guitar and vocals. They both get pretty funky. I wish Muse would stop branching out into other styles, and would branch within their own style. It's like they say they want to make a dubstep song, or dance track, or funk song, and make it sound like them... instead of taking their own sound, and then developing it with other influences. Maybe that's not the best way to explain it but that's what I feel.
can everyone stop trying to compare this to something else? lets just say this is muse. i know it was most likely inspired from something else, but it is not that other song. This is Panic Station by Muse.
People who want the "original" Muse back don't usually list Showbiz as their favourite album, oddly enough. Let's not forget that the bombastic pseudo-opera guitar wankery that we've heard on previous albums aren't what Muse were originally about. So enjoy your post-adolescent angst from a previous millennium, we'll funk out to new Muse. (That said, I love Showbiz)
Listen to Another one bites the dust. Either way this song is awesome. Anyone can pick an old song that sounds like a new one. People just love doing that to Muse more than others though.
I can't disagree. However, I can say Muse has been making different types of music for sometime. Having all their B-sides I can truely say I am not too surprised. One example is Cave that is available in a variety of versions. All are very successful renditions and give a true indication of the level at which they like to experiment. There is also quite a difference between songs like Easily and Shine to the more classic Muse sound of Eternally Missed, In Your World and Host.
I agree, on the seccond part of your comment, though I think this one has the potential to become a classic, yes its not what we are used to... but I say give it some time, I think this song, along with some others (1 or two, in my opinion). Im just hoping they are done with trying this "completely different-we´ve never tried this before" streak, I mean it´s good for them (and us, in a way) but Its not good if you keep doing it. Ps: I do miss that Origin of symmetry, and absolution kinda vibe
Queen, older funky RHCP with a twist of Frankie Goes to Hollywood dont ask how I got that but I'm digging it more & more,,,, definite fav so far next to Supremacy>Unsustainable(yes I think its bad ass)>Animals>Panic Station>Survival
You should really watch some of their...'playback' performances. They only didn't fuck around at the olympics as it was so important to their and MY country :)
While this is just my opinion, and I do agree that Muse has been trying to sound like other bands lately, I will say that... this isn't like Another One Bites the Dust. The tempo is different, the vibe is different, this is slap bass, and the notes are in an entirely different pattern. I don't know if it's because I'm a bass player (I can play almost every Muse song from heart on bass) but I feel like you can pick up differences easier when you play that specific instrument.
i think it's freeking awesome so far...i can't see why everyone was bitching about them being different since The Resistance. because if you think about it, none of their albums sound alike...
wonder how many of the screams at the start are from people thinking they were about to cover another one bites the dust ? that is not a criticism by the way .. the song is AMAZING!
Well we all have an opinion right? I on the other hand fucking love this song. The second coming coming of Supermassive Black Hole with a whole lot more funk thrown in. :)
Faith mo more too ( I see someone already said RHCP ) Some later Suicidal Tendencies and of course their side project Infectious Grooves should give you a thump in the funk hole.
This is awesome! Anyone begging for old muse should know that they are constantly changing and evolving.
I clicked on this with the expectation of hearing a really crappy fan video... but this sounds awesome, and it was so well done! YOU'RE A CHAMPION.
cant describe how much I love this song. cant wait to see them again next month!!!
I'll be honest I didn't like it at first, but it really grew on me and now I LOVE it!! This song is awesome!
Wow! Immediately fell in love when I heard this. Muse still got it ♥
I love this song. At first, I didn't like it, but now I am really thinking this will become a classic.
im gonna buy the album anyway.. i know i can have the songs for free in an awesome super hyper ultra hd quality.. but the joy of having the actual album in your hands and the dream that someday muse could sign it is worth it!
Muse, finally you comin' back with a real good song! Thanks!
Must just be you, dude....I've been playing this entire song on repeat for the past 2 days
Better than the other songs released to date, for sure. Can't wait to hear the studio version.
it's awesome how they sound so good and so "muse" even changing their style, I like the new album.
just an addition: maybe they tried to avoid the difficulty to create something "old muse style" that, with high probabilities, wouldn't be as good as their masterpieces like newborn, plug in baby, bliss, citizen erased, hysteria, KoC.....just a thought
LoveLoveLoveLoveLoveLove this...I just love this song, as every songs by Muse =))
nice work dude! love the multi cam idea. i've heard the album version of this, and it just shows how good they are live.
What do you understand by the term "multicam"?
This is so... Queen! and i love it!
Amazing song! Thanks for uploading!
this song kicks so much ass. I can't wait for The 2nd Law!

It's amazing how they can make great songs in whatever style they want o.O Muse could rap (no offence to fans of rap & hip-hop) and I'd probably still love it!
Okay people, here you go. The best songs are (in the album's order):
Supremacy
Panic Station
Animals
Save Me
Liquid State
Yes, Chris is sooo good that he could be Muse's new singer-songwriter. You'll love him more than Matt on this record.
Best one from this album so far...
Holy...can't wait til October 1!!!
its really good!! definately gonna buy it! cant wait :D
Liking this one ALOT!
Nice, cant wait new album!!
So good! I hope they make a video to this with some funky dance moves or something. :P
That doesn't change the fact this song has Queen written all over it. One of the actually good songs of the album as well.
Haha thanks but yeah that reference in your other comment is hilarious, that is maybe the greatest quote ever from Matt.
Love this. Wasn't really feeling madness but I have more hope for the album now.
What a tune, love it!!! :)
I heard don't stop me now, there's just snippets of the vocal melody that instantly make you think that
I funking love this track.
Really like the album - a nice change of direction from Muse. This is the best song on the album IMO
Ok from now on I declare pease and harmony among the iewers of this video. Amen
the solo around the 2nd minuet reminds me of the hysteria solo.
and the bass is just a little bit like another one bites the dust
hey good news! morgan actually plays the brass on the keyboard! so its 100% LIVE
Thats our boys!
If you've noticed, they all have a heavyish 'four on the floor' style of drumming- speed up Back In Black to AOBTD's tempo and you can hear similarities too imo.
I think Chris should write more songs. He rocks!
the intro has Another one bites the dust written all over it, but then it goes into some Ghostbustery funky shit
either way I think i'll love this after a few more listens
love Love LOVE it!!!

The bass reminds me of Rapper's Delight by Sugar Hill Gang. I love it.
Fame, David Bowie. Funk 49, James Gang. And the solo in the middle is a nod to 'Time Is Running Out'.
im digging this
I listen everyday.
OMG they Rock !!!
People who want the "original" Muse back don't usually list Showbiz as their favourite album, oddly enough. LOVE IT!
"Control TROLL!!!"
Love it. Some people may not like that Muse is sounding like other bands, but I believe the songs are great nonetheless.
Listen to Another one bites the dust. Either way this song is awesome. Anyone can pick an old song that sounds like a new one. People just love doing that to Muse more than others though.
the album is on youtube take a look there are awesome songs! My favorites are supremacy, panic station, surival, animals and follow me
80's !!!
It's just so funky :D
you'd be getting a good deal. seeing them live is easily worth both balls
I can't disagree. However, I can say Muse has been making different types of music for sometime. Having all their B-sides I can truely say I am not too surprised. like like i love song
I've arrived to awesome station
Sounds about right, and followed my 5-6-7 fire in my eyes ( as far as I can understand from it) ^^
I agree, on the seccond part of your comment, though I think this one has the potential to become a classic, yes its not what we are used to... but I say give it some time, I think this song, along with some others (1 or two, in my opinion).

They've cited that song as a sound-a-like/inspiration.
Queen, older funky RHCP with a twist of Frankie Goes to Hollywood dont ask how I got that but I'm digging it more & more,,,, definite fav so far next to Supremacy>Unsustainable(yes I think its bad ass)>Animals>Panic Station>Survival
I am SO buzzed for muse's new album...this is coll although sounds a bit familiar :) cant help it but this reminds me of Scissor Sisters :P
Guitar hero: metallica, Guitar hero: van halen, its time to bring out Guitar hero: MUSE!!
There will be a multicam of Follow Me soon!! But we'll just have to wait for a pwoper audio cause all the videos sound too distorted
I did... worth it!
Thanks BioCofMN. Similar to Franz yet very Muse in the quitar and chorus.
La primera vez que escuché la canción, 3 nombres vinieron a mi mente: David Bowie, INXS y Scissor Sisters... ¡me encanta, genial!
yes.
lucky girl! ive seen them only 1 time! and they only played 8 song :(
Morgan is probably playing the brass section on a synth, which is completely possible.
This is my favourite track by far, I don't like many of the other ones on the new album.
from all the videos in the multicam i just chose the best audio (:
it's MULTICAM but the sound comes from one video so it's normal that the timing isn't exactly right
You should really watch some of their...'playback' performances. They only didn't fuck around at the olympics as it was so important to their and MY country :)
Just hear that bass man, hear it!
While this is just my opinion, and I do agree that Muse has been trying to sound like other bands lately, I will say that... this isn't like Another One Bites the Dust. dat bass! the best ones so far are this and supremacy
oh ok kewl man,
yeah and madness too (:
This is "Stevie Wonder-Superstition". Without doubt. So much alike
yeah i know but i mean sounds like hyper music at 2:00 (guitar arpeggio)
I don't think he is counting, I think he is saying "Once you're fit for fight!"
i think it's freeking awesome so far...i can't see why everyone was bitching about them being different since The Resistance. because if you think about it, none of their albums sound alike...
This is a like combination of Michael Jackson and Another One Bites the Dust. Awesome!
wonder how many of the screams at the start are from people thinking they were about to cover another one bites the dust ? that is not a criticism by the way .. the song is AMAZING!
another one bites the dust v.2.0
Germany is so lucky!!!
did u edit the soundtoo? cus it sounds good lots of bass
Agreed.
Well we all have an opinion right? I on the other hand fucking love this song. The second coming coming of Supermassive Black Hole with a whole lot more funk thrown in. :)
What indicated that I was being dramatic?
Oh and The 2nd Law has become my favorite Muse album
Faith mo more too ( I see someone already said RHCP )
Some later Suicidal Tendencies and of course their side project Infectious Grooves should give you a thump in the funk hole.
Rock + Disco... what will they think of next?
well that sounds fair.. and its good that you can argue without pissing people off ;)
