Thanks for putting these videos together Lee, I've watched all your videos and they are packed with great information and detail. Please keep up the good work!
Great build and great documentation. You haven't spared your efforts to document it as you went alone. Thank you, so many people will learn so much from you experience. You have also done a lot of research before the build to determine what design will be most suited. This is impressive. I have a question though. Unless I missed it but it seems that you opted for a standard double glaze window instead of soundproof one? I wonder why since you are build the shed to be soundproof and play your drum without disturbing the neighbors.
Great job on this project, more informative than many of the others I’ve seen. I’m planning to DIY a garden gym build, very similar size with a concrete slab base. Do you mind commenting roughly how much your build cost so far (the price of timber isn’t great at the moment)? Thanks
Hi Aaron, thanks for your comment. Glad you are finding the videos useful. The build is probably in the region of £4,000 and would probably be nearer £5,000 today with the cost of materials and going for a concrete base.
Great videos. I am planning a build very similar to this. Would you suggest the block foundation method or a concrete slab? I’d appreciate your thoughts. Many thanks
Hi Jake, thanks for the comment. Glad you are enjoying the videos. I guess it depends on your use case. If you are thinking about a music room with double walls, then one of the key benefits of a concrete slab is that it gets the floor level as close as possible to ground level, which is important when it comes to the maximum height allowed for permitted works (2.5m within 2 meters of your property boundary). Depending on where you locate your building, or if you apply for planning permission, you can go higher, so then it is less of a problem. A slab is certainly more labour intensive, but on costs is probably comparable to a pier structure given the extra wood you need to purchase to build the floor. A pier structure is a little more tricky to layout and get level for the DIYer, but it is potentially quicker.
It's beautiful! Thanks for documenting. Hopefully there will be more projects to come!
Thanks! there will be more to follow soon

Hi Martin, glad to hear that! Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it
Nice to see more progress, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Chips!
well done, nice job indeed
Thanks!
Brilliant! Where is part 5?

Thanks for the comment. This is actually a different build to the drum room one where I did use acoustic glazing

GOod 2nd build. how did you fit a soffet on the back wall with the wall up before the roof or does the fascia just cover the box profile? thanks
Thanks for the comment. Yes exactly that. The facia covers the box profile and is flush up against the metal sheeting without any soffit board

Nice work! How much were materials for this approximately?
Thanks! I seem to remember it was around 4K to 5K
Good vids What height door is it. 2100?
Thanks for the comment Rick. The door is actually 2040mm by 900mm
