The "songs" nowadays don't show women the love, respect and kindness that songs from the past did. When women are treated with love, respect and kindness, they respond in kind. This young woman was overwhelmed because she evidently hadn't felt those emotions in the past from such a song.

Girl! Story time: I met a guy when I was about 23 years old. He was 24. We started dating. We clicked, obviously right for each other, and things were progressing nicely. One night he wants to take me to a beautiful wood for an evening picnic. He had candles, picnic food. Big blanket, and...... MUSIC! That's right! That boy chose to play Lady by Kenny Rogers because "he has the words that will show you what I feel for you." Anyway, I'll make a longer story shorter, 22 years later, he we are, lying in bed at home. 2 kids. Still madly devoted to each other. I found something rare. A man who knows exactly how to treat his Lady. And he's only gotten better with age.

Back in 1968 he was with a group called the First Edition and did a song called Just Dropped In, which is completely different from this. A great duet is with him with Dolly Parton doing a song called Island In The Stream, which was written by Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees. That's another beautiful song. That one is from 1983.
