As a honda fan from the 90s I love the ae86 k-swap build so much.... that k-swap with ITB and killer header at 10,000 RPM going sideways with smoke rolling off the back the car is as good asnit gets.......... back road beast$$$$
Nice...As many bays that you guys' re-paint I'm surprised y'all haven't invested in a bead blaster yet. You could dedicate a corner of the back "storage" space and build a cheap 2x wooden frame room and staple heavy-duty plastic for the walls & false ceiling. The good thing about glass or plastic bead mediums is that you can strain/filter it and re-use it and it's nonabrasive to metal. The booth could also be used for Spoon's small priming/painting jobs and not have to haul the cars home.

2:23 there is a tiny bit of red showing when spoon is taking the front apart it’s on a support bracket it looks like bolting to the edge of fender. I’ve been trying so hard to spot any red since they did such a good job hiding it all lol but I see just 2 spots so far lol
Hey Jimmy. FYI FD brake calipers are a direct bolt old swap if you want a nicer/more modern looking calliper. Also looks like you got an aluminium bonnet which is rare.
I think one of the smartest things a detail company could do is sponsor this channel. It's so funny seeing them use purple power and tuff stuff to clean so many of the cars and bays. Meguiars, griots, anyone get on it!
Motive power brake bleeder is the move. You can pressurize the whole system dry to confirm no leaks then power bleed the whole car with one person. Saved me serious headaches.
I've been trying to spot the red but apart from a tiny bit on the underside of the bonnet, she's had a really thorough spray job. Like wow in the trans tunnel under the windshield cowling? everywhere....
If you ever feel like the brakes are too hard to press, you can redrill the pushrod mounting spot on the pedal. Oh the chasebays kit forces you to do it, so if these feel too hard you're stuck with it.
You have a sandblaster jimmy. Use that far the nooks and crannys that you can't sand. Gets edges and corners much better and just use air to blow it off

you dont really get the reason behind the offset mastercyl :D its offset to use this bracket that allows the 6:1 ratio, this makes the brakeforce more like OEM ish.

You should definitely try to get sponsored with the auto stacker lifts so that way you don’t have to keep your lifts occupied just by stored cars and can make use of the lifts again. But keep up with the amazing content, love watching you guys!
It’s wild to me how many FDs you’ve had and this is your first fc. I’ve had a bunch of fcs and the FD is a dream car. 😂 300zxz32 with lambo Diablo headlights is the ultimate pop up car.
After you remove rust on cars without galvanized steel, use bluing chemicals used in firearms. It will rust proof at metal level. There are different methods, rust bluing is best, and hardest on large parts since you have to rust the surface and boil it before wire wheel or 0000 steel wool, multiple times.
From seeing what’s going on with your rear end from a previous video I would say the preload on the pinion gear is your issue it’s binding on the ring gear I’ve had it happen on a few straight axles where it’s fine in reverse but feels like your hitting a brick wall going forward I would take off your rear diff cover and watch the gears as you try to move it forward if you see your pinion gear have any play your preload is off or you need new bearings
Jimmy, next time you are pressure washing, be sure to let everyone hold the pressure washer, or else, “you are paying people to watch you work” also be sure to empty your entire shop just get on a lift to be able to do a simple task under your car 😁👍🏻

You should look into buying a hotsy. The super hot water that comes out makes life so much easier than using a normal power washer

Don't run brake lines through holes in brackets on rear axle. If you ever have to remove the axle. You have to do brakes too
All you need now is a black r32 gtr and paint the 86 panda and you’ll have all of the initial d cars

Also, you would not ever loose all your breaks. You would always have at least one on each axle. 2 kinds. Dual diagonal and front rear split
