honestly, what you said at the end of the video is kind of how I've felt about PPU for many months now! my collection is just so big, it really takes something suuuuper special to get me to be willing to take the plunge. that being said, I also think it might also be a little bit of specialty polish fatigue? sometimes polishes with all the things (thermals, magnetic pigment, shimmer, flakes, etc.) feel like too much lately, whereas I just bought 5 cremes from Cracked Polish's anniversary sale (and there's no way I didn't already have similar creme shades lol). but overall it feels like a relief - I used to have so much fomo when I first got into nail polish - it's nice to know that something similar really will almost always come around again in the future.
yes totally!! once you have a lot, you realize just how similar everything else can be lol. and also get you on the over abundance of specialty finishes too 😅 yay for getting some Cracked cremes though! defintiely a great palette cleanser 💅🏼

I have just placed my this months PPU order, but saved on one that I had in my wishlist :) Lumen "Light It Up" can easily be duped by layering Cirque "Cobalt Jelly" and Lumen "Candle Light" (September PPU). Maybe not exact dupe, but SO close that it saves money :)
Omg yess, especially with all the recent launches!! It’s been a busy season for new polish, but I guess there’s always new polish lol. It can definitely be hard to drown out everything that’s coming out & just focusing on what you have but it’s great you’ve been able to! Oh I can definitely see that recreation for Lumen this month!! garden path lacquers "told the northern lights to keep shining" immediately reminded me of mooncat's "serpent's tongue" !! tbh i've never shopped PPU (but i only truly got re-interested in painting my nails in august) and i love the idea of this month's theme overall, but i guess i'm just not drawn to that many, or rather the ones that caught my eye would just sit on my shelf and i'd never end up wearing them lmao and thanks for another great video!!! love hearing your thoughts as you go through what's available :)

I am so surprised you have not tried Garden Path Yet. I am def picking this one up. I have a handful and love all the ones I have from them. 🥰 I am also for sure picking up the BKL. I just adore Smokey Rich colors like that this time of year. And I know I’ll wear it next month. I am also on the fence on the thermal Alchemy. I love it…but I need to check in with myself…Will I really wear it? I think I will in winter. And that blue Cameo is so so gorg! I love to wear blues…so hard for me to say no. 😆💙
All Mixed Up was a yes for me in the initial swatch photos (all dark and moody), and then it got weird with the shifty swatches- suddenly it looked very basic to me. But in a recent live swatch, it was confirmed this is mostly just super vampy and dark, so I'm back to yes. Otherwise Cuticula Blue Lava won me over, and Ice Balls from GLL is going to be a pleasant surprise in person-I know it! My wishlist has completely changed from what I thought I loved this month! As a side, Garden Path is a strange beast in that, the photos never do their own polish justice...everything I've ever grabbed is WAY more sparkly and twinkly in person. It's the strangest thing. Once you take the leap, I bet you will ❤

I'll probably just go for it and tell myself it balances out throughout the year. Lol Also I haven't tried either but Great Lakes Lacquer Trap of Love made me think of KBshimmer Along for the Ride! It's also a dark purple that shifts red with holo flakes. I just recently got that one and this reminded me to try it, it looks beautiful and perfect for October!

I just got into indie polishes so I don’t have anywhere near as maybe to compare the new ones to but I’m slowly getting there. My wishlist was around 10 my first couple months and now it’s down to 6 and I’m happy about that. I want to get to the point where I’m only interested in around 3 a month. Cuticula’s blue lava is probably my top pick and then Clionadh’s Ice Age (that might be more of a brand addiction I need to work on though 😬)

I always try to keep it to 2-3 polishes for PPU because of shipping cost. Only during rewind I let myself go crazy. This month I originally just go the Garden Path but then went back for the Kathleen & Co. I’ve never owned a magnetic polish before so we shall see how well it works for me
These videos help me stay away from PPU myself... I'd be too tempted and my collection is full (for now)! but it's nice to see these in a way that doesn't tempt me to fomo

I started with 6 on my wish list and I’m down to 3 at this point. I need to look through my purples to see if I have a dupe for the GP. But I really love the Penelope Luz & GLL. I really wanted one of the olivey/mustard ones but got less & less interested as I saw more pictures. I’m gonna get the new magnet & Cuticula’s top coat.

I also was not really excited for this month’s or last month’s PPU. I didn’t even wishlist or buy anything for September. I have a few for October but honestly if I the following picks sell out then *shrug*. My wishlist: Painted Polish “Live Laugh Lava”, Ethereal Lacquer “Otherworldly” Sweet and Sour “Acidic Abyss” ( actually, I want this one even though I love have similar polishes 😅) Lyn B. The Painted Polish is giving me Sabrina vibes (I mean the recent ILNP polish). They look different enough, but sort of have the same concept behind them and I'd rather get Sabrina for that sweet ILNP price.

I am trying to be on a low buy until Black Friday lol. So I have kept my wish list at 2: Garden Path and Krisable Designs. I am trying not to buy thermals or magnetics until I actually wear the ones I have, so that keeps me from even looking at a bunch of them too.

Ethereal otherworldly reminds me a lot of cloud 9 by cirque. None of October’s polishes caught my eye but Clionadh (and I had the same reaction as you, was not a fan of the texture), I will skipping this month

I had 2 on my wishlist but then decided to skip this month. I picked up several polishes from recent Fall collections so now I need to no buy until Black Friday sales.
Aw I feel like I actually would’ve liked the reflective glitter, but not in combo with the pearly base 🙈 I could see it being a better polish without it though, hopefully we’ll see something similar in the future! 🤞🏼

I have a few that im getting, I think 4 or 5 this month. I'm grounded from my wallet because I spent too much on PPU last month 😂 and again for little box of horrors... and a few other brands. Needless to say my wallet is crying and October will be my recoup month 😭 I'm nearing 1000 bottles at this point and not destashing at the rate I should be either
So many magnetics this month. I am tempted by Kathleen & Co., but otherwise I'm able to skip the rest of them. I really do wish you could see the inspiration photos for each polish. I know there's the possible copyright issue, but maybe then direct people to where you can see or look up the photo or perhaps focus less on copyrighted works and take their own photos maybe? There's also still a lot of AI being used..

I always try to keep it to 2-3 polishes for PPU because of shipping cost. Only during rewind I let myself go crazy. This month I originally just go the Garden Path but then went back for the Kathleen & Co. I’ve never owned a magnetic polish before so we shall see how well it works for me
These videos help me stay away from PPU myself... I'd be too tempted and my collection is full (for now)! but it's nice to see these in a way that doesn't tempt me to fomo
Did the penelope luz make it on your list? I just saw a video and its really pretty so I'm on the fence. Same with the one you said looked like vapids seven crows. I wasn't able to grab that. But I wonder how likely it is something like that will show up on the spring
i did see some more content featuring that shade and it definitely looks super pretty!! but i ended up skipping it, kind of the same where i’m hoping i’ll see a similar version near spring that i’ll like more lol
I started with 6 on my wish list and I’m down to 3 at this point. I need to look through my purples to see if I have a dupe for the GP. But I really love the Penelope Luz & GLL. I really wanted one of the olivey/mustard ones but got less & less interested as I saw more pictures.

I got two more than I said I was gonna get. But I’m ok with it. I’m new to indies so it’s not like I have a lot. I’m sure at some point I’ll feel that I have similar enough polishes to pass sometimes but not there yet. I am going to try to not do HHC this month.

I’m skipping this month! I also need to work on destashing, and I desperately need to get my collection in order after moving in August. It’s great motivation to get my act together and pause most shopping. 😅

@@PolishedYogi it’s definitely a bit outrageous that it’s a consideration, but we’re going to ignore that. I’m taking advantage of the chance to fully break some of the spending habits I’ve gotten into, and that’s a good thing!

I want the Pahlish and I'm well aware that it might give me a weird flakie moment lol. I'm willing to risk it for the experience of trying something new and unique. It's the only one I'm actively eyeing, but I did have to slap myself on the wrist for the LynB. I can't with those sultry reds, I want all of them.
P. S. The Painted Polish is giving me Sabrina vibes (I mean the recent ILNP polish). They look different enough, but sort of have the same concept behind them and I'd rather get Sabrina for that sweet ILNP price.

I hope you’ll love it bc it does look really pretty, like crushed crystals 🤩 omg yeah lovee a deep sultry red too, the LynB did look nice but also like something we’ve seen before 😅 I can see the Sabrina vibes from Painted Polish too just being a vampy red, but yeah totally different since one is a shimmer and the other is a Flakie ✨😝

I am trying to be on a low buy until Black Friday lol. So I have kept my wish list at 2: Garden Path and Krisable Designs. I am trying not to buy thermals or magnetics until I actually wear the ones I have, so that keeps me from even looking at a bunch of them too.
thats so smart honestly!! i def think BF purchases will be worth it more than PPU. yay for having the GPL on your list! and definitely smart to avoid the finishes you don’t wear too often, i think i subconsciously do the same since i scroll past thermals lol. but some magnetics catch my eye 🙈
I love the Krisable designs one. I am intrigued by glow in the dark polish but I don't want to wear white/light nail polish to get the effect. This will be my first PPU purchase and my first indie. I've only purchased from Holo Taco.
I'm really interested in the Hanami one, and dont have anything like it. I also think the Cuticula Blue Lava is super cool but I'm not sure I'd wear it

yess Hanami is beautiful!! and yeah i often feel the same about flakie bombs like that, they’re cool to look at but i wouldn’t wear them 😅
Ethereal otherworldly reminds me a lot of cloud 9 by cirque. None of October’s polishes caught my eye but Clionadh (and I had the same reaction as you, was not a fan of the texture), I will skipping this month
oh i can see that! i don’t have that one but i think the only main diff is that cirque has holo. and aw yeah it sucks you felt the same about Clionadh! it looks so pretty from far away lol 🥲

I was really on the fence about the Cliondh, but the reflective glitters made me decide against it 😢
Aw I feel like I actually would’ve liked the reflective glitter, but not in combo with the pearly base 🙈 I could see it being a better polish without it though, hopefully we’ll see something similar in the future! 🤞🏼

I realize I’m stress buying (wish listing) I’m dealing with horrible anxiety and looking at all the pretty polishes helps me think of something else. I have a few that im getting, I think 4 or 5 this month. I'm grounded from my wallet because I spent too much on PPU last month 😂 and again for little box of horrors... and a few other brands. Needless to say my wallet is crying and October will be my recoup month 😭 I'm nearing 1000 bottles at this point and not destashing at the rate I should be either

So many magnetics this month. I am tempted by Kathleen & Co., but otherwise I'm able to skip the rest of them. I really do wish you could see the inspiration photos for each polish. I know there's the possible copyright issue, but maybe then direct people to where you can see or look up the photo or perhaps focus less on copyrighted works and take their own photos maybe? There's also still a lot of AI being used..
