I don’t think people realise just how well of a vocalist Aaliyah was.... it actually takes a lot of skill to perfectly execute high falsetto vocal riffs the way she did in this song. ......Especially since her natural singing voice was so low for a female.
Actually, her natural singing voice was lower than we’re used to from her. It lowered considerably between her first and second albums but she chose to keep it high because that’s what we were used to. Her natural singing voice was closer to what we hear on her last album.
I wish this would have made the final cut to the "RED" album. I love it when Missy & Aaliyah collaborate. One of their diamonds in the ruff, and Tweet added on the track was like a cherry on top of a delicious ice cream sundae. Wish she was still here. RIP Aaliyah.
