Nice stuff, Ant Man. There’s a gold mine in the laid back groove + on time fills combo.
Wow this was such a great lesson. Lots for me to practice, great examples, love this format.
Is the difference that at first you’re playing right on the beat and then you play a tiny bit after the beat ? Thank you for this video. You’re wonderful.
Thanks 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Wonder if the drums shall do the lay back / rush while im doing it? Or they shall keep on exact time in order to make my bass sounds lay back or rush?
❤❤❤
Playing straight on the beat then it starts swinging a bit and slightly quieter
I can't hear the difference at all. How do you practice improving time *perception*?
It’s meant to be subtle more than blatantly obvious. I’d recommend trying to understand the drummers that you enjoy vs the ones you might not enjoy as much. Listen to how they groove and try to hear the nuances. Hope that helps!
i think you started on the beat and then you played laid back.
