That's not how you use the midgate. You remove the window first and store it in the front of the midgate. Then open the midgate with the bulkhead attached. The purpose of the bulkhead is to allow the midgate to be lowered while leaving the window in place.

Yep, agree with others on the mid-gate. That was weird. However, in 2024 I wouldn't sell or trade my Avalanche for anything. 💯🏆
No wonder GM discontinued the Avalanche you got customers who don't know how to properly use that midgate
