Old comment, but Capcom were huge fans of Jojo. Guile is inspired by Polnareff and has Stroheim's hair and named after J. Geil, Dhalsim's limb stretching ability is another Jojo reference, and Darkstalkers has a few Jojo references as well, such as a vampire (Jedah) who has a leaning pose and how Donovan operates much like a stand user.
Back in the 90's Capcom didn't fuck around with their licensed properties. They snagged the X-men and Marvel licenses because everyone around the office were such superfans that they'd import the comics from America and do their own translations; Capcom funded the X-men 90's anime in Japan just to prompote CoTA. When they made HFTF it came from that same place of love and they even got Araki to do a ton of new art and designs for things that were never seen in the OVA and Manga. You can really tell that they loved part 2 because besides Young Joseph, there's unused files for the pillarmen as well.

Young Joseph didn't go full power because if he killed Oldseph, he would have died.. but since Oldseph is old he forgot about the consequences so he created a time paradox to create another ver. of himself but they would have still died cuz Youngseph is now dead... there's never a future without a past! and this is how Oldseph stupidly killed himself
