Should probably mention the 66 is $40 after shipping. Compared to $170-220 on the Peppers and Fortin. Someone at Fortin did contact Peppers and had them take the 33 off and rename it. Same for the Demon FX 66 was the 33 but they complained so they changed it.Great vid! Thanks!
I would love to try some of their pedals... They have been on my watch list for a while... Shipping costs are little too high at the moment to be able to justify getting them.
It does the blade? Where does it say that? I just see info about the grind/33, and TC preamp, I just bought one to go along with my dirty tree and shoot them out
Stop saying 'not the best playing', mate. You do it in other vids too, but hey, surprise! We're not here for your playing, we're here to hear those pedals. Having said that: keep them review and comparison videos coming! 🤘 😎🤘
Hey man, good video, but in every review no one uses the boost with a clean sound.... Do they (im buying demonfx clone) work well as a clean boost or does it only really work well with an already distored tone? Thanks dude.
When put back to back yes. You need to push the 66 more and there is more noise from it, can be easily fixed with a noise suppression. But if I only had the 66 and couldn't compare it to the 33, I would be blown away by it.
I have a PRD dropped tuned into A with /m\ pickups sounds good but not modern sound, does this pedal would give me that tone or (using a mesa boogie badlands rectifier) or do I need a longer scale multiscale guitar with angled pickups like yours, maybe bkp or fishman fluence? Honest question would appreciate your reply...
To be brutally honest with you, as someone that loves gear and shiny new toys... The two main things that are going to really effect your tone is your speakers & EQíng... Badlands is an awesome head with a heap of gain! Changing your pickups when pairing with such a beast of an amp isn't going to make much difference at all... Nor will the guitar... What make these pedals so attractive, is the boost and EQ they give you... I have a Avail Lavigne $200 guitar at home, I can get that thing sounding like a beast with the setup in this video! I did a video a while ago where I just used a super cheap EQ pedal to see how far I could push it, and I got pretty close to these pedals. I would suggest trying small changes first, then build from there... It is a very easy trap (I fell for it too) thinking you need all this killer gear to get a killer sound... You just need a little bit, that will push you a long way!
If I recall, it's the Roman's ir pack from audio coffee. I used it for nearly 99% of my work. It was pretty pricey when I got it, and I don't really use any blends you could custom yourself, I just use the eq mixed ir's ave they are brilliant!
Don’t forget for around same low price they make a dual boost that is supposedly a 33 and an ep xotic boost. Why not have both unless running out of board space! I personally cannot bring Myself to pay that much for a boost and the prices on Randall even with inflation these days should be illegal! The Rd series when first premiered at 199$ for the one watt. The 100 watt I believe was 999$ 1800 plus today!
I feel like there are two different prices... A price for what a product is worth, and a price for the Hype of a product... One of my biggest pet-hates is when a musician passes away and all their type of equipment they used has a death tax increase on it... Instead of celebrating their lives and what they have contributed to our lives and music scene, someone is financially rewarding themselves when we are emotionally fragile.
I agree that they are all very slightly different. If I didn't put them back to back, I'm not confident I would be able to tell that much of a difference between them.
Just got my dirty tree today, love it a ton!
That's great to hear!
It's such a powerful pedal!

I remember that, when it was called the EE instead of the 33.
Great video! A previous video of yours conviced me to get the Aether Boost, which is a Chasm Pedals version of the 33, prety rad!
Very cool, I haven't checked that pedal out yet... I'll look into it.
Jyst bought the three three.demons killing it!!!
For it's price, its a huge pedal!
Guptech Grindr - excellent value and does the Blade/Grind/33 all in one pedal
I would love to try some of their pedals... They have been on my watch list for a while... Shipping costs are little too high at the moment to be able to justify getting them.

@@jackbootshamangaming4541 If you run the Grindr in preamp mode it's a Blade. If you run it in bypass mode you can switch between 33 and Grind
Never paid attention to it before, just noticed Pepers dirty tree on their website yesterday. Killer timing, awesome pedal.
It's pretty rad. Especially is you don't want a straight 33 characteristics, but you want close with a little tweaking options.

@@IAmWatcher thank you. I'll try keep that in mind!

It does work really well using it as a dry signal through a di. In theory it should work as good!
@@metalprognosis awesome thank you!
Can you tell me how much more noisier is the 66 clone to the real deal?

Demon fix makes a 33 now called the 33
Where are they selling that? I could only find the 66...
What IR pack is this?

The 33 to me has more bass clarity and crunch
I feel the same, the 33 sounds and feels more puncher.
The 66 seems to have better definition than the Angry Tree.
I agree that they are all very slightly different. If I didn't put them back to back, I'm not confident I would be able to tell that much of a difference between them.
Dirty tree.. *with Australian accent.. 33 😮 🤯
Haha, if you can tell the difference, you could try a New Zealand accent as that is where the pedals are made ;)
33
The 33 is still my favorite, even know the Dirty Tree does an amazing job!
