@@papitbull1templars are basically a psionic ranger but the big buff to them is you need to get hills with them. Every kill empowers their abilities, includes their deflect chance (if you have it) and buffs their mee damage or unlocks additional abilities. Templars are best played rushing and ambushing forces with some backup to make sure they aren't dismantled at range.

There are two major factors that reveal a reaper. 1) You move to a position that is behind their concealment point and puts in in the detection range for them (yes I am aware it is tiny) or 2) They fail to land a killing blow as every shot they take increases detection chance with the highest chance being on missed shots. Templars with at least one charge to their psionic ability are already a threat to reaper ambush tactics as their deflect can avoid a lot of damage variations and due to their mobile nature (ignoring skirmish grappling movement) its easy to rush wide areas to sweep for said Reaper in hiding. That being said, it's not a perfect 1:1 on which one beats the other as each of the specialized groups have counters and vulnerabilities to each other. So at the end of the day a class between Reapers and Skirmishers will fall more than likely down to the skill of the commander rather than direct 'this skill or character is so op over others'.

I played one game of xcom 2 multiplayer. Faced off against a guy who refused to move his units out of spawn, then when i had like 2 units left i retreated into my spawn, to try and lure the guy out. What follows were hours of private messages where the guy tries to convince me anyone but him staying in spawn is cheating and cheap. Didnt return to the game after that.
