- In 2017 I traveled to Norway to fish the Rena River, a world class trout and grayling fishery. There was a significant learning curve for me on this river. The first couple days I struggled. But I put the puzzle pieces together and had the trip of a lifetime! This video is part 2 of 3 were I catch one of the BIGGEST brown trout I have ever caught. Its a fight I truly will never forget!
The 3rd and final part of the series will be out within the next week so stay tuned!

Great video. And once again, thank you for letting me repay on some of the hospitality you've always shown me.
Hope to spend time fishing with you again some day.

Awesome video bro....hopefully we will meet up again soon..
AP Fly Tying thanks! Hope so as well.
Damn dude, love the video and the stills of that fish are impeccable! Gotta ask a few questions if you don't mind.
1.) Why Norway? What made you decide of all the places to travel to fly fish to go there?
2.) How much was the trip total? Did you stay at a fly resort type set up?
Thanks for sharing the video, glad I saw it first :)
Tight Lining MD glad you liked the video! That fish was truly incredible. I have a friend who lives in Denmark who invited me to fish in Norway. We stayed at Rena Fiskecamp which is a small camp along the Rena River. They have a small lodge there and we split up the cost of rooms between about 5 of us to keep cost down. You can book guided floats or fish the river yourself. One of the guys we stayed with is also a guide (Henrik Leth). He guided me one day, but other wise we floated the river and just did our own thing. He was an incredible guide though! His guide service is www.brakvand.com. Would highly recommend it! Total cost for me was around $1100 but it was much cheaper because we split things up between the group. Air fair was the largest expense.
@@bluelineangler8450 I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question. Always interested to learn more about other areas. I can only imagine what that had to be like landing him on 7x, surely incredible. Especially with how close he got to the underwater structure. Thanks again for your time and I will definitely consider looking into this further. Tight lines in 2019!
Tight Lining MD no worries! Same to you
