We are a large blended family with nine kids- eight boys and one girl. My husband just learned about his daughter in 2018 not knowing he conceived her in high school. Your husband is right you never know what might have happened I was a tge stire when I got the call that a family member had passed away was murderd and another time my water broke I was getting groceries
Yah, it happened to me, I left my cart bc it’s so full & hard to push, left to grab something I forgot & I saw a friend ended up catching up & gone for almost 15-20mins😊
I just spent the last 2 weeks in temps from -40c to -55c before factoring for wind chill effect… and went grocery shopping multiple times lol… the idea of people in Texas preparing for a winter storm baffles me.
Texas is built around a hot climate. Six inches from the sun heat that feels like death. Not freezing temps. Our infrastructure is not like yours. Our homes are not made for negative temps, our roads are not made for negative temps, etc. most of our wardrobes give us nothing to protect us from negative temps
Likewise, someone from up north likely finds our 105 degree summer days that often start in late may and last until September or October and feel like 120 as something that takes their breath away. I live here and I feel like that. Lol
All of that to say it drives me nuts when ppl here flip out over a cold snap and buy out the grocery store shelves.

What a great idea, a new freezer! Tip: Make sure it is Garage Ready!!! If it doesn't say it, it's NOT and more than likely you will only get 4 - 5 years out of it.

I chop up the organic baby spinach and toss it in any tomatoe sauce based dishes. The iron in the spinach is made much more bioavailable with the lycopenes in the tomatoes. Also gets the green veggie into my veggie phobic kiddo

We got our large grocery order the morning the storm hit in Wisconsin. But we know we need to stock up because roads get icy here! -2 at the low.
We are now are at 30 this week!

With the spinach you can divide it up into ziplock bags and put in the freezer to add to smoothies or sauté with butter or olive oil for a side at lunch or dinner!!!
Also if you guys are planning an east Indian dinner one night you definitely need to get some Nan bread and Tzatziki sauce to go along with the dinner!!!
Love the idea of freezing the spinach. We use it in omelets a lot and I will sauté it as a dinner side too.
We grabbed naan bread at Costco. They have it in the freezer section. And i just grabbed tzatziki at Sprouts the other day.

Hahahaha, our winter storm was 14 inches of snow, then below 0 temperature for a week not warming up until next Monday. 30's & 40's heat wave. Ppl will probably be wearing shorts.

Why are the vegetables in boxes out of the refrigerator? It’s wired because they are in bags and not just sitting out don’t they sweet and get moldy?
