Agreed. I don't mind a minor embellishment for the sake of some added drama, but when the dirt was removed and the wood handle appeared un-aged after '100 years underground', I decided I had to turn the channel.
The wire IMO would be more for encouraging rust growth. Wrap it in wire, bury in the muddy swamp...Come back 3-4 months later for a vid. Granted it was old to begin with.
It's a great video. You must be the most patient person ever. Doing those holes in the grinder plate must be nearly mind numbingly processed. You make me smile with your little fun things. Thank you for sharing your skills
I'm actually quite curious about the process of how you incorporate that mud and wire so uniquely into the object. Could you make a video of it? That way, we can see the truth at least.

Incredible technique showcased in this rust restoration video! Truly inspiring and motivating me to kickstart my own channel. Big thanks for the valuable insight! 😊
At the beginning it’s not rust, just soil… this grinder is almost new. He put it under yellow soil for 1 year and then took it out to restore it and make a beautiful video 😂😂😂
@@MarshWaha A chunk of metal buried for 100 years would look much, much worse than this does. Also, the dead give-away? NO WAY would that crank turn if it were buried for that long. It' would be seized up completely.
@@Ivegotwormsinme dude there’s no way someone would’ve just gone out, bought this item off a shelf in a store, and then went out, buried it left it there and then it started to rust like you. See it in the video. That’s impossible. There’s no way this is fake.

My great grandmother and grandfather had one of these. When they passed they gave it to my great uncle. He made homemade pico de gallo. He also used it for the brisket he used to make his legendary chili. All of the vegetables he used were home grown from his garden. He smoked the brisket for 24 hours! I miss them all and I wish I had that grinder!
Definitely not 100year old, once again wrapped in wire and coated in mud/cement to form a crust to make look buried for years. Definitely would not eat anything ground through this thing as would nevthave been painted internally. If you look carefully you can actually see small black flecks coming through on the meat.
My mom still has her meat grinder from when she was younger and she will be 90 this year.😊 You did a fantastic job on restoring the very rusty meat grinder. You really always do great work on your items. I enjoy watching you work. Very calming. 😊 Thanks for sharing this video. Looking forward to seeing your next one. Have a Blessed and Beautiful day 😊
100 Years underground, not likely, the handle still turned after 10 seconds of clean-up, this is fake, you have placed it in clay for a while to make it look bad, there was basically zero rust, the bearing was in workable condition, even the timber handle was in 99% good condition, better try again,
I remember my Grandmother using one like this grinder to grind ham after Easter, and turkey after Thanksgiving. When she finished, she would always clean it by putting a piece of fresh bread through it.

Very convenient, the wire around it to help hold the mud, and the wooden handle almost intact under all the "rust"... nice try, my friend...

That's a wall hanger now. What a shame.
Thanks 😊

There is no rust on this modern grinder. Only clay!
What about the wooden handle? Should'nt that been rotted away??
