I believe the organizers are missing an opportunity here. People like her should be rewarded independent of the end score. It is no small feat to speak Yoruba in this day and age without code switching. I'd go further to say speaking uninterrupted Yoruba is just as difficult as the quiz itself.

I found that speaking a mother tongue language does not necessary means that the person fully understood the language, that is why you will see an English speaking countries fails test of English language for an example. Of which, all the school subjects were taught using that language. Understanding mother tongue language is more difficult when an official language is a foreign language. Example of such situation is Nigeria. Most of us can not speak our mother tongue language without having a difficulties. No one would be able to get full price on this program, maybe, a language professor because we have seen performance of Yoruba language graduates. This is not their fault. It is just because they are not totally used to the language. Knowing every birds and animals in your language is impossible. Meanwhile, for one to be excellent in this program means that you must good in English language equally with Yoruba language. This program is an eyes opener for our nation. Ire ooo.....

I don't think people should lose points for not identifying the numbering. We can all agree numbering is one of the most difficult part of our language. Losing points in the same sequence as answering the question is like double jeopardy. You can help them with the numbering but answering the question correctly and not speaking English throughout the programme should be the main thing to comply with.
@@olaoluwapobalogun664 my opinion on this is; once a contestant see the question and does not know it, don't waste time, just tell the Olotu to remove and move on instead of treating it differently.
The program is called “Masoyinbo” so you are expected to know everything in Yoruba language….its just like a white man being in an interview and they ask to translate a question in English and they should respond with not knowing it!!! The program is just basically drawing everyone’s attention about not forgetting our culture and heritage, because how will you say you understand English properly(another man’s language) and not take pride and understand yours!!!!
