- In this video I will be painting and weathering the Jagdpanzer IV L70 (v) 1/35 scale model kit from Dragon. A mashup of an old Panzer IV kit with some newer parts added to make the tank destroyer based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank.
I will plan to transform the Jagdpanzer IV Sd.Kfz.162 into an ambush predator, by adding camouflage net and making some foliage to add for cover.
Production of the Jagdpanzer IV started in September 1943 but at the time the L70 gun was being prioritised for the Panther so vehicles were fitted with the L48 gun. Front armour was 80mm thick set at a 45 degree angle.
Production with the L70 gun finally started in August 1944 and around 930 were produced up to the end of WW2.
Vehicles produced were delivered primarily to the Panzerjager battalions attached to Panzer divisions.
The Tank was rather nose heavy and later models would introduce steel road wheels for the front.
I hope you enjoy watching me turn this tank destroyer into an Ambush Predator.

It really does help

やっぱりグリーンベースの迷彩は、戦争後半の象徴でカッコいいですね。私も今トランペッターの16分の1ポルシェキングタイガー戦車もこのパターンにしようと考えています。
That is very true. Popularly used in the heavy tank battalions. Thanks for watching and the comment. 👍
Great work and detail. Enjoyable video. Thank you for sharing.
Did you use a 2mm needle on your airbrush about 15 psi ?
Best wishes.
Steve.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.#
Actually I use a 0.4mm needle
H&S have a tapered needle which allows for fine work and ''Spray and blast''.
PSI is around 15-20. Sometimes I lower it when doing detail work. Its a bit 'try it and see'. I know this is rather vague, but it all depends on paint consistency. Thinner paint = lower pressure.
Thank you for being part of the channel.
Please take time to view Community Tab
I will start to make a section for each video where I will answer all questions in future. ❤
Thanks for your reply.
You're doing great work.
Keep going and your channel will grow. Cheers.
Excellent execution,if this video was out earlier,I would have considered doing the same on my hetzer but thanks for everything!

One of my absolute favorite tanks 🤩 and you did it more than justice, it's honestly scary how good it looks... the camo work is just wow... you just earned a new subscriber mate. I would love to see you do my favorite tank the King Tiger, but anyway keep up the good work
Thank you Will, fantastic response to my interpretation of the Jagdpaner IV. I have a King Tiger in my stash, I will put it to the vote soon. follow my Community Tab where you can vote on the next project. Thank you for the positive response. 👍
@@afv-studio nice!! I'll keep an eye out for it

Outstanding work my friend. The camo came out great and the figure looks realistic. Kudos to you.
Thanks Azzy 👍👍
As always wow I absolutely love the camo. Wish I could do that as great as you. Cheers
Thanks John. Glad you enjoyed watching.
very nice camouflage. excellence skill 😄
Thanks Andrew
How do you get such tight spray with your airbrush. There is like no overspray at all. Dang this is awesome. I just barely found your channel a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks Curtis, hope you enjoy whats here and more is on the way. Avoiding overspray is mainly by overthinning paints and getting in close. Some colours are also better than others, redbrown is a bad one but the green sprays really nicely. Now waiting for a project where I can try my new airbrush on a scheme like this. 👍
Nicely done. Great build!
Thanks
Nice camouflage, very fine spray work.👌
Thanks SKmodel. Glad you liked it.
Did you use seafoam for the fall branches ?
I did use seafoam.
Looked real good . Just the music was not for me . Still model looked good 👍
Thank you John.
Yes its impossible to choose a soundtrack that everyone would enjoy.
I try to make it as inoffensive as possible and hope people dont go reaching for the off button because of the soundtrack 🤣

Very Good Work! What Figure Used? Loocks Great on the model!
Thank you Carlo. I cant remember where i got this figure from. Sorry i cant be more help. Glad you liked it. I think it was best part of the model 🤣
Well if that was real the cam net would be off they did not glue the cam net on the side6 you went that far with the kit,you missed out how the cam net was fixed to the side, better to look at real photos on the Internet, 👍
Well spotted that man. Thanks for pointing that out.
Nice piece for a little diorama!
Thanks Tomas, Actually I am considering making a Diorama for my next project. I think its the natural progressing that this channel should make. It will be my 1st attempt, but I'm going to have a go.
