Hi Andy, I really love your work. In most cases just the basic set, glue, paint and wheatering. That's the way most modellers work. No fancy aftermarket stuff added except for a few details. I started modelling when I was about 10, and now at 62 I still love it. I've learned a lot since, and still learning from you. And with all stuff now avaiable it has become much easier.
Ronald VAN TOL So true especially most of the new models today are of pretty good quality nowadays. Some of them may already have many parts within the boxes. I now just stick to Tamiya most of the time as I can enjoy the satisfaction of completing the model within a reasonable amount of time.
Andy, one the things I´m really grateful is for the background classical music, it really makes the video to be easy to watch (more pleasant) and relaxes a lot, the sound its well paced. Well done and many thnx!
I really appreciate how much work you put in to both your models and your videos! I've never seen anyone freehand airbrush the rubber on the wheels, that definitely looks easier and nicer than everything I've tried.
Someone tell me who is better at this? Andy. Really nice work. I am buying an airbrush tomorrow and getting back into models and you're a part of that decision.
Hi Andy, you produced another great kit if I was into WWII I maybe tempted to get this kit, but again never say never. Keep up the great work. Les (Australia)
+PolyvinyLs Well, maybe, i checked it, but i don't care much about it, because it feels good and rekaxing... watching those models being built with such profesionality.
Another great build Andy. It's the little things like topping up tamiya paints with thinner which really do help us who are fairly new to the hobby. I'd agree with you that this is a very good, friendly kit. I'd add that it is a good start for anyone looking to do their own zimmerit (putty method) too. Not too many difficult areas, fairly easy. I've also taken on board your advise to use the lighter red and green. I'll be interested to see how that turns out on one of mine. Thanks
Andy's Hobby Headquarters Andy, would you maybe consider doing a similar how to vid for a 1/72 scale kit? I'd be interested to know how you approach the different challenges such a kit presents.
Back on October 6, 2015 you said that you think that people tend to over do it when it comes to chipping and weathering. I agree wholeheartedly! Having served with armored vehicles and later around heavy equipment, I really don't know why people believe that tracks get so rusted. Or really why those same folks think that the crew wouldn't do everything possible to eliminate rust. That piece of equipment keeps you and your buddies alive so you take care of it. Now fuel stains and oil in strange places makes perfect sense to me but we never let rust get a good hold. Thanks for the videos sir.
Love your channel as always. Would love to see some very late war German camos where they incorporated atypical colors like the dark gray and green or red brown or solid green with variations. I've collected some pretty cool pics. Thanks Andy.
Congratulations on an other great build. You inspire people ! Maybe you could wheather your tank a little more. Chipping and a little mud maybe ? Look forward to your next video. Thanks for charing 😄
Dito too Ronald VAN TOL comments...just to add Andy I am very keen to see how you might approach battle damage and or more severe wear to a model. I served in a Mech Inf unit with M113s where we soldiers had to paint our own camo pattern particularly for parades etc...although with some "echelon guidelines" with a spray brush not that dissimilar..ie flexibility...thanks
From what I can tell from this Jagdpanzer IV it was made on a late version chassis of the Pz IV J. Towards the end of the war Pz IV's took a hit because the lack of resources. Instead of 4 return rollers it was cut down to 3. The muffler also became 2 smaller exhausts then just one long one.
Andy you really do good work you got me back into model building I’ve been using the FX 60 on my models with the black base Is it the lighting for the reason why your xf60 looks so bright
Andy, oh dear me. You cant dry brush with Tamiya acrylic paint, you will be there forever trying to get the little paint which has already dried onto the brush onto the model. Use enamel or oil paint, much easier and nicer results.
By way of a small comment. Most contemporary photos show that the Germans did not paint the road wheels and bogies of their tracked vehicles, they were left in the base colour. Two reasons have been cited - it was a waste of paint at a time when the Germans were short of materials and mostly the paint was soon covered in mud and local dirt. B
Hey Andy. When doing the Vallejo wash mixed with alcohol, doesnt that take off the paint work you've done previously? I've put a dullcote over my paintwork before and then gone with a wash mixed with tamiya thinner and it started affecting the camo beneath the dullcote.
Hello Andy. I have subscribed to your channel for 4 years and I am still surprised by your ease with the camouflage. Please use an infinity 0.15 and an evolution 0.2, I would like to know what dilution you recommend for these airbrushes. The video is great, I love it. a greeting JORDI LOPEZ ALZAMORA BARCELONA CATALONIA
@@willabe566 The music is fine for most of the video, but way too loud at times, and If I turn it down during the louder parts, I can't hear what is being said.
When you are airbrushing the camouflage, what is your ratio of paint to thinner? I'm having trouble getting clean lines when I airbrush camouflage patterns.
Love watching the build. Im sorry buy 2001: A Space Odyssey ruined Blue Danube for me. I cant hear this music without thinking of the Pam Am Clipper shuttle maneuvering to dock with the space station.
+Stevie Gibson . the last part i just sprayed a second coat of buff over the whole model. I usually dial down the music down for some reason my premiere pro editing software didn't do it this time
+Stevie Gibson Thank you I am a quick builder It usually takes only two days of building for me to finish the kit, and I don't like to overdue the weathering, I think some people go over board on it.
Hi guys i'm new at modeling and i just wanted to ask, what did he mean about the "dull coat" or something that he mentioned at 23:03 ? Thank you in advance!
oh my goodness thank you for your reply! I love your videos and you're godsend for newcomers to modelling such as myself. What flat clear lacquer do you use specifically?
Great video, I was thinking of trying another paint brand but your work has me sticking with Tamiya.. Do you use a darker green for British tanks compared to American? How about painting German Grey?? Keep the video's coming!! Great work.
Well I am new to the painting so I figured i'd ask :) I've recently placed and order for a airbrush kit and it seems that when using that you get a better "base" coat without using primer. Thanks for answering
A piece of advice one gave. You will probably need ten or more efforts making all kinds of mistakes, but improving with each new kit. So, don' take it to heart. Learn tips and tricks with other modeliers, such as Andy, or any other model builder. There's a lot of help out there. Take advantage of it, and you'll be surprised how well you'll improve. Good luck, and don;t be discouraged. I'm 72, and I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I was in the beginning. It really does get easier and rewarding. Don't give up. Have fun.
Wish there were videos like this in the 70's and 80's... All I had was a small Monogram paper booklet of Shep Paine Tips.

hi andy i am looking on your german armor tank that already painted. just put it together show us the different camou pattern you apply.thank you
Hi Andy, great work.
How do you make the rubber on the road wheels look black again?
Andy, oh dear me. You cant dry brush with Tamiya acrylic paint, you will be there forever trying to get the little paint which has already dried onto the brush onto the model. Use enamel or oil paint, much easier and nicer results.
In Tamiya paint, what Tamiya spray can color matches buff. How about doing a model for those without an air brush and use only spray cans?
By way of a small comment. Most contemporary photos show that the Germans did not paint the road wheels and bogies of their tracked vehicles, they were left in the base colour. Hi I like your videos may i know what size your airbrush using is it .2 or .3 mm for free hand camo thanks?
Heh, in the Andy’s logo, the little tank actually looks like the tank your building.
Tamiya 🇯🇵👍
Great build Andy! Which color of Tamiya green did you use?
He used nato green
Andy, do you wipe any of the Vallejo wash of before flat coat?
Very nice work. Good videos too! What do you use for dull coating?
try throwing the wash on with a dipped toothbrush... doing a Tamiya Pz.III Flamm atm...
really nice work, music is a little loud. other then that, good build.
+Clayton McClain Thank you,
Hey andy, is the width of the jagdpanzer IV hull the same as the width of the panzer iv?
using the basic 3 colors, how would you do the ambush pattern?
Hey andy could you make video of painting with a brush
nice job the music is way too loud
Black Heart maybe turn it down.
@@willabe566 The music is fine for most of the video, but way too loud at times, and If I turn it down during the louder parts, I can't hear what is being said.
What about a video on how to clean your airbrush
You were lucky at 9:08 that small part did not fly far :) Many a time I encounter small fly away parts that can never be found again :(
hi Andy, can I ask you what percentage you dilute the colors you apply?
Thank you. Man can learn from you. On how much PS did you set the compressor in the Army painting?
if you're asking about the psi i think he sprays vallejo at around 16 psi and probably around the same for tamiya.
When you are airbrushing the camouflage, what is your ratio of paint to thinner? I'm having trouble getting clean lines when I airbrush camouflage patterns.
+Erik F. I use about 15% Tamiya Thinner to
How many bar/psı pressure do you use airbrush?
Do a figures vid! Keep it up!
Hi, Andy, great job, a technical question, can you tell me what are Tamiya colors that you used for camouflage.
Thank you.
popocho popocho the colors are red brown dark yellow and olive drab by Tamiya they're the most basic colors out there
Hello, I cannot see with my sight those scratches that you mention you are painting in black with that tiny paint brush
Not sure why you would apply a dust coat over top of your wash like that?
What kind of clear coat do you use?
WOW!!
Andy I really need help, watching you apply the camo, how do I apply mine without it spattering. I can't seem to get the right consistantcy????
+gruppenfuhrer45 Spattering paint is usually too thick or there might be a problem with the nozzle of your airbrush.
What color do you use on early WW2 German tanks
What do you use to dull coat your kits?
Love watching the build. Im sorry buy 2001: A Space Odyssey ruined Blue Danube for me. I cant hear this music without thinking of the Pam Am Clipper shuttle maneuvering to dock with the space station.
what kind of glue are you using
another great build. could not hear what you said properly at the end cos the music was too loud. also, one side says 322 and one side says 223!
hehehe.....made ya look! 😆 i really like your style - quick and not overly complicated but a real nice result at the end.

Are its tracks movable?? Please answer anyone its urgent 😓
can i set up a cart and pick it up at your store vs. shipping or looking for the items i want when i get to your store
