Your reflection on where your love for black light experiences came from totally transported me back to the 80's! :D Thanks for the ride in the way-back machine!
As a teenager in the 1970s, I had black light wallpaper! It had a slightly off-white background with pink and orange design that looked like large flowers. My chest of drawers was a second-hand piece, so anywhere the veneer had fallen off, I used florescent poster paints to paint abstract designs on.
I would love to see a skein of yarn dyed in a twisted skein 3 times with blacklight blue, turquoise and frozen. I think it would look subtle and great. It would be so could when you turn on the blacklight.
...I have blacklight light xmas lights.... and glow in the dark posters.... and glow in the dark unicorns on my wall.... In my late 40s... I don't know how much you can make with one skein so what I'd probably have done is dip half of all the skeins in the blue till it all struck then put them in a pan with more acid and spread the neon remnants around on the white ends for two skeins that looked like half of each of the ones you made :)
I would be interested in glow in the dark. I have some fabric paint from years ago but it didn't work well. But glow in the dark yarn in a hat, or a sweater, or scarf would be so cool!
I’m saving up to buy some yarn from your shop ❤ I’m in Canada so the shipping is yucky and it makes me sad but I must have some of your hand dyed squishy awesomeness!!
I love the idea of using those two yarns in a colorwork project together!❤
That blue is gorgeous! And I love the contrast between it and the black zip tie! Oh, the possibilities!
Beautiful yarn! It is amazing how much color is on the yarn from the little bit that was left. I love fluorescent and neon colors!
I love that so little left over dye can crewre such a beauties yarn . Lovely
Thank you!
I'd use those together on my loom :) I think it would make a fun woven scarf

This sounds AMAZING!
At my kids middle school, they had a black light dance at some point this year!

Blacklights are also really popular around Halloween too!

I have some glow in the dark yarn but it is very plasticy. I'm not sure what is required for those properties.

We have a very bad kitty. We have a black light because of him.
