The important part for the 2022 Ford 150, Ram 1500 and Silverado is their new 3.0 liter Diesel engine. All these big 3 pick-ups uses newly developed 3.0 liter diesel engine in compliance with the newly mandated regulation by US Department of Transportation. These pick-ups suppose to drive like a car with instant power during initial cold starting and do not need a prolonged idling to heat the engine, also should not produce a diesel smell, harness maximum power, and torque, and of course, must not produce black smoke to pollute the environment. in addition, the engine should consume less diesel fuel per mile and to meet these requirements, the big three pick up manufacturers developed a new fuel injection system such that the diesel fuel is already automized when delivered to the combustion. This is the break-through in diesel fuel delivery technology as developed by BOSCH of Germany - higher pressure rail diesel fuel injection without the mechanical pump of yesterday diesel engine. So, if you have a chance to review all pick-ups from these Big 3 especially the Chevrolet Tahoe diesel with independent suspension will be highly appreciated.
I saw other vlogger test drive this truck. When you stop on traffic light the engine will turn off but the AC is working. I don't know if the power of battery affect the performance when the engine is off. What if the traffic light takes 2 to 5 minutes or more because there is collision. Does the battery lower the power?
@@sealoftheliving4998 The AC compressor is not working but the fan is ON up to certain time and powered by the battery. The engine will only turn-off when you dial the knob to economy and your foot is on the brake pedal as in the case of red traffic light. However, if you are in the situation of prolong traffic and not moving, your reaction will be to shift to "P" park because you will get tired and the engine will automatically turns ON even your foot is on the brake pedal. This ON and OFF is a standard set by the US Department of Transportation for Pick-up, SUV and cars for the car manufacturers to meet the stringent fuel economy and pollution in USA. By the way, the US department of transportation spent a lot of money for the research, development and test for the standards especially the new high pressure diesel fuel injector - it is called "Piezo" diesel fuel injector and was featured in "POPULAR MECHANICS" Magazine.
