Loving these videos. Thanks for sharing. Ronnie the 250 Rally is a real trooper. My kind of bike... when I was younger. My baby GS was purchased as a 60th birthday present with the intention of less adventurous adventures, but I can still vicariously enjoy your Trans Europe Trail adventures. Beautiful countryside.
Credit to you, doing a lot of that on your own. Hope you get mended soon and are back on the trail. I found my bars on the CRF gave me back ache so just put in some bar risers. Better but not perfect. Best of luck.
I'm 81 years old (that's wife in pic) and just reached 11,000 miles on my 2014 CRF250L. Only problem is well known to users: Replace self-adjusting cam chain tensioner with manual, after-market type. Installed Corbin (US) seat, CRF's Only sport windscreen, luggage rack, and better grips. Install rim-locks if you will be reducing tire (tyre) pressure for off-road. Now using Metzler Sahara Enduro tires (Steph Jeavon's fav). Even though all you "green-laners" say it's light (320 lbs.), that's not for tech single track stuff like in our Rocky Mountains. I put quite a few miles on it in the front range of the Rockies and believe me you don't want to have to pull even that weight bike out of a creek at 8,400 feet above sea level when you're anywhere near my age,. It's no KTM but is about perfect for what it is made for.
Excellent - Sorry about your back..! Had my Rally for 3 weeks now and first thing I noticed was the bars are bit low standing (I am 5 10 so average height). But I think this is a cool little bike. Have dropped it on the low side of a rut and didn't hurt too much to lift it back on it's feet. I haven't given it a name yet - I was thinking "mid life %$*K up" but that's a bit long.
Love it! Got stuck in wet muddy clay on Tet in France with the pig , the 236 kg AT. Getting it out in the uphill was ardues and I know my limits a little bit better now
Great video. I purchased my Rally 3 months ago. IMy impressions it needs better off road tires to handke mud and sand as soon as I wear out the original tires ill upgrade tires. You must deflate to around 18-20 bs for better traction. Its a bit soft in the tail suspension but I'm actually getting used to it as an older rider I appreciate the smoother ride over bumps. Will be adding bark busters soon to progect the leavers. Other additions soon will be a small travel rack, bigger pegs shift and brake levers and a 12v USB port. In getting 72 miles per gallon. My friend has the 450L he is getting 50 miles oer gallon. I think once ive made a few adjustments its about the perfect trail bike.
This is a really cool video I really enjoyed it! I have the same exact motorcycle as you I haven't been on an adventure quite like yours yet looks like it was a hell of a ride
Thanks for the videos. They have been helpful for me. I have a "new" 2018 Africa Twin in the garage with the credit going to you and MotoBob. Cheers and it's not a holiday!
Great video. I do miss the beauty of the UK. The Honda looks to be surprisingly reliable on a lot of what you did. I doubt many similar or mid weight bikes would have coped differently. Thank you for sharing. As always, entertaining. :-)

Nice video, good to see you giving it a go. Do yourself a favour , get rid of that front crashbar set up, it just adds width to the bike. Get yourself some carbon fibre guards to protect the lower fairings and sump , naff all weight and good protection.
Being in the market for 250 Rally this is the content I was looking for. Subscribed immediately. Love your sense of humor and top noch video quality. Hoping for more Rally videos to come :) All the best!
I've had a similar experience with the Rally before. You really need to be on the right tyres when tackling mud. It's a top-heavy, rather heavy bike, and when it starts slipping, it can be very tough to get it upright again.
Was that Snowy Nature Reserve at one point in Blanch land? Or at least near abouts? That really muddy section looked like one of its exits, and if so, it's bad enough on foot ha.
@@Motoeuro lovely around there. Graham and Paul from Newcastle Motorcycles said I should add you. Enjoyed your reviews and things so far. Definitely want to get on the TET. Enjoy the Transalp when you get your long test.

This must be the most entertaining and interesting"vlog" I have seen. I really enjoyed every minute of it. At the end of the video I was going like, Oh man it's finished. damn.Kudos to you for taking the time to make it very entertaining and interesting to watch. And your sense of humor..Love it. Very Amusing ,,Looks like great fun .Do i use my T700 or buy a new honda CRF300 .This could be a great new Adventure bike ?? 153 kilo against the t7at 200kilo
Always a difficult question! Depends on two things: Your ability to handle 200kgs on the trails (picking it up often) and the amount of road riding you’re doing. If you’re heading off to Morocco from the UK, take the T7, if you’re planning to ride the UK TET buy the 300L :D Either way, have fun!
Nice , our dualsports are great for tet, better with good boots at 15 psi. If you ever ride east anglia u.k check out suffolk crf's we'll show you some fun easy tracks.
Absolutely love your videos. That dark sense of humor... mhhhh, the best! Thank you very much, and hey, you found more locals! But there is one question i want to ask, where's the luggage? Where's the truest spirit of TET, with camping and all?!
I think the stock tyres came off after the first service on mine! The rear was loosing grip on slightly uneven trails :( On Michelin Trackers now and traction and grip much better for it.
Really enjoyed watching your video. Great scenery. I've ridden some of the tet in North spain. Worth a trip if you haven't already. A lot less water! I own a rally and wanted to ask what make your bash plate and engine bars were. Happy riding.

Absolutely loved your videos. I'm an old guy and I just bought the 300 Rally here in Canada. Subbed. Quick question on the music: who does it and what is the track title please?
😂😂 You could see it going wrong at the start when you took your feet off the pegs, then again when you weren’t keeping weight on the rear wheel, also far too much throttle. Good fun though!
@@Motoeuro by me it seems that I have 100% succeed in this statistic. After the quarantine, 10kg over and 10kg over I had anyway before and all that, at the age of 48.
