- I bought a knife from OKK that looks just like a SPY Bowie. Let’s see what it’s all about.

Needs to be a production knife again. Come on Spyderco
I appreciate your content. I love the idea of having a “grail knife” that you don’t mind carrying and using.
Thanks! me too!
I received mine a little bit ago and have minimal complaints. Mine is from OKK. The blade is way too polished almost as much as Case does meaning even the tip is rounded off. I'm betting the top of the lock isn't hardened because when it was brand new it didn't stick and it's already pretty bad and farther over. But it has made me want to find the real deal if they ever do another run.
Yeah, I don't think the lock bar is hardened. My Bowie is still fine, but my Sydiechef has definitely worn down the Ti lockbar interface. Still happy to have them both at the price.
@BladesOnABudget just worried since it's already so sticky. I doubt it will be much of a user for long.
I hate it when my crowns are not spined!😂
Great vids and content Fred, I love the absolutely honest reviews! Subbed
😂 Thanks Kevin!
Is there any place other than Temu to get this knife?
Yep. Go to ok-knives.net. 👍
The Knife market is controlled by Chinese companies & WHOEVER has a Civivi , Sencut , Kizer Ect...... should NOT be saying too much against buying something like this - I think its really NICE & probably just as good as any of the knives coming out of the companies I listed besides the better steel BUT If you don't mind D2 it really shouldn't matter . When I was a kid 40yrs. ago the Chinese knives were TRASH Yet the game has CHANGED & as much as it hurts to say this - It's OUR Fault !
Sad but true. The world has changed. Thanks for the comment.
The 1st clone I bought was 1 of these. But it had the best washers I ever seen. Ok says theirs is on bearings. I'm on the fence if I get this or the Chavez
This is from OKK & its on bearings. But I do like it that way for my taste. I've been eyeballin that Chavez too! 🤔
Good Job
Thank you! :-)
No reason they shouldn’t make this model again. Everyone wants one and they would sell like crazy.
Knife Joy sold 1,000 of them with their re-release earlier this year. I'd be surprised if someone doesn't try that again in the near future.
I got a Sage 5 from OK knives. It's great, but it wasn't sharpened properly. You could see one side was sharpened correctly, and the other side was almost unsharpened. I sharpened the other side, myself, but I would have preferred if it came with a bevel on BOTH sides. I could not only see the difference, I could feel it. Love your content.
Yeah, I've had a few like that too. I think it just comes with the territory of buying these kinds of knives. You definitely have to learn how to sharpen knives if you want to buy these. The edge won't last as long as the real thing anyway, so even if they came sharp you'll be sharpening more often anyway.
Original goes with polished stonewash blade. In fact, very different from the copy.
Cool. Thanks for the tip. That's another good way for people to know the difference so they don't get tricked into buying a fake one when they're trying to get a real one.
Nice. I already took the Bugout, 5he esse Izula, the Microtech Ultratech and stich. Ans the Spiderco Parea 3 !! ^^
Sweet! How do you like that Ultratech? I got a BM Shootout that pretty much sucks. Tons of blade play.
Since our economy was destroyed in January 2021 I’ve been exclusively wearing Rustler Jeans out here on the Ranch . Went into Walmart to buy some more and picked up that Ozark Trails version of the Bugout . Been using it hard and I’m actually impressed, holds a good edge and the handles don’t flex like my Benchmade version
Saw your link, will see if I find something i like.
Can you do some videos where you take apart these knives? And maybe check if aftermarket scales fit these Spydercos and Benchmades?
AWT scales are pretty sick I wonder if they fit on these
Most won't fit without at least some if not major modifications.
can also confirm most wont fit. My para 3 lightweight clone internals are quite a bit different
@@rebel1851 ah bummer thanks for letting me know
Bit of a budget Nick Shabazz 😂 ordered a "para 3" from OK knives, on its way. Like your channel. I have a genuine UKPK. Thanks for sharing.
I've done a couple of videos where I take apart the knife in the video. But I worry about video length so I've been just showing the photo of it broken down during the video instead. I love the idea of trying custom scales. But the scales would cost more than the knife! (Still a good idea 😎)
Original one dont have that angle pocket klip, on the clone angle is much bigger.
You're absolutely right. The clip angle is quite different on the clone. Thanks for pointing this out!
Sir I would like to tell you that knife joy sold 1000 knives between both drops. Each drop had 500 knives
Wow! That's awesome! If I had the money, I'd love to have a real one. I do love the design. Thanks for sharing. 👍
I would buy one in a second if i knew they carburized the titanium lockface. If not it wont last no time before lock rock happens.
You could email ok-knives and ask. They've been decent about replying to emails. But I wouldn't hold my breath about it being carburized at these prices. 🤷♂️
@BladesOnABudget hopefully they are and yours lasts along time. Just some heat treat on titanium possibly done.
You can do it yourself, it’s pretty easy
@propblast82nd would be smart wouldn't it. You think red hot is good enough?
@@isthebeeflol No that’s it how it works
Where do you buy your knock offs from?
Some from Temu. Some from Aliexpress. This Bowie came from ok-knives.net.
They don't look right mate I've got the Originals of both of them I've had them for quite a long time I used to get lock stick on them as well yours seem to look so perfect look better than mine are they knock offs and you can ask me and I will send you photos no problem mine come straight from spyderco am I live in England whoops and whoops and I also have properties in America we all have to work hard sometimes to get where we're going that's life whoops golly gosh ask me any question no problemo
Thanks David. These new knockoffs are surprisingly good these days. I can only report on the one that I have. I wish I had a real one to compare them side by side. Thanks for sharing!
Missed how much it cost ?
$52 with free shipping.
@@BladesOnABudget Wow fantastic option 👍
$50 won't buy you a Civivi in the UK. I wish.
Sorry to hear that. Maybe a Sencut? Well, it's a good thing that ok-knives.net is located there in England (Stoke-On-Trent). I'm guessing that you could pick up this Bowie for around $50 pounds maybe?
450. Budget applies???
$450 for the REAL thing. Definitely not in my budget! But this one I have in the video only costs $52.
