“ME? You think I’m Carmen Sandiego?!! Well…YOU’RE RIGHT!”
I played this game for YEARS and forgot you could actually catch Carmen San Diego. Just seemed like there were hundreds of crooks to catch with no end. Wonder how far I got??
Oh, I always LOVED getting to that ending and nabbing Carmen! The worst part of the game was accidentally getting the wrong person, I watched a compilation of those endings that someone made and was like "Ooh...I remember feeling SO dumb when that happened to me!":) I still need to watch the Where in Time game, I KNOW I haven't seen that one...
Same here

I played this game as a kid and made it so far that the whole note was completed. Then I took too long to finish the next case and ran out of energy. The chief told me that the suspect had broken 3 V.I.L.E agents out of jail. I managed to catch a few of them again, but it seemed like the game just went on and on and I took a long break which I never came back from. When I was finally ready to try again I couldn't find the disk. I wish youtube had been around in those days. If only I had known at the time how close I was to getting Carmen!!

I laughed out of control when I heard those funny quotes.
Doesn't matter to me. I like popcorn and I'm a Yankees fan. Though, I'm pretty sure you knew the latter by my icon.
1:35:08 Ha. I lived near that place and never knew it was mentioned in-game.
Cool. What was it like?
@@Icicle_158 Heritage Hill is a historical park that contains old buildings that were moved from their original locations. There's often historical interpreters that show aspects of local life from the past. It also hosts weddings and small concerts in the summer, and LOTS of school field trips.

Very similar to the North Dakota and Michigan locations in-game.
Out of curiosity, do you remember which clues led you to pick Wisconsin?
Although I can only paraphrase the details, the most incriminating clue from that section that led me to Wisconsin was the mention of the Door Peninsula. Other relevant clues to that state include topics like Vince Lombardi, Green Bay, and Lake Winnebago.
P.S. Thanks for the information about Heritage Hill. It sounds like an interesting place to visit.

Can someone explain the ending? What was that bobber thing that transported people to her hideout and captured Carmen?
7:11.
Detective.
1:11:13.
Master Detective.
2:02:13.
Can Tim Tation be related to Bee Smirch?
2:29:01.
Super Sleuth.
So what's next? Carmen Sandiego Word Detective or something else?
Word Detective, hopefully. I only have to finish four more sections of the game walkthrough and I should have all the raw footage I need. However, due to its technical instability, I need to be especially careful with this game. One badly timed crash and I might be forced to restart my progress because of gameplay glitches. For instance, some e-messages could be skipped altogether, wrecking the game's continuity and cohesive storyline. Still, considering how gingerly I've treated this game, I am confident that Carmen Sandiego: Word Detective will be the next game featured on this channel.
Got it.
I have good news. I've finished the recording and video production process. The first video of my Carmen Sandiego: Word Detective walkthrough will be live today.
my old hometown mentioned at 17:54
1:25:29 I'm from Morgantown, WV and the West Virginia University campus looks NOTHING like that.
It may have looked like that when the game came out.
