I bought this mini fridge about a couple weeks ago and I must say it really gets the job done! Mine is a little different though, instead of those numbers on the knob it's either min, mid or max and I have a glass shelf instead of the cage rack thingy. I keep the setting to mid and my drinks are pretty much ice cold. I had a Personal Chiller I bought from Walmart, and it kept my drinks mostly room temperature, but not warm, and that's why I bought a Hisense mini fridge, it does a much better job and definitely worth the price, I think I paid 90 something, I bought it from Walmart again lol. I love it, it is quiet for the most part and I also experience ice forming like how you showed in the video but it's nothing too serious. Thank you for this review! You earned yourself a like!
Thanks a lot for this. Starting a new diet and needed something to keep my little fruits and veggies cool in my room because I don’t trust my family enough to not eat my stuff 😂
I got a question when you use this fridge did you have to do anything besides unboxing and plugging in to a three prong outlet? was there anything you had to remove from the back?
I bought a 1.7 hisense mini. I live in a shed to cabin, one person. I buy bottled water which I dont put in fridge, or soda , once in a while I will have a soda, but again I drink it room temperature. I became used to this living Arizona, just drank my water and soda room temp. For myself if i get a pizza , it will be for that day, there are a lot of foods i will do that with as opposed to having a family and stocking up. I dont use ice really, again, because I drink room temperature. I can keep a box ice cream in the freezer and a several ground beef rolls a steak, a few small items. A half gallon milk fits fine in the door. Basically i keep milk, butter, sour cream, cheese, I get a dozen eggs and cut the container in half stacking in fridge, thats great because saves space, gotta have a pack of bacon, so i have basic foods , becasue I buy boxed meals that usually call for a cup of milk, a egg or butter. I have a toaster oven that can fit a self rising pizza like digorno since i boought for that meal that day, i will out of outer box and put in the oven to thaw out, it cooks faster. So trhis small fridge is good size for one person if you use for basic items for making boxed meals. Ive tossed in a bag of fries, a few burgers , a few chicken breasts on the bottom, can hold at fridge temp for a few days, i just learned by doing what I can put in the fridge, have a mental not of what more i can put in when i go shopping. Its perfect dorm size fridge. One thing though, the 1.7 model i bought says its a chiller zone, not a freezer area, but i put a 16.9 bottlre water in the chiller zone, it froze like a ice block. Not sure what they meant but it keeps ice cream good or can make ice cubes if you want them, Its a freezer with a door to me.
Just got same one. 5 1/2 is the best setting I found. It doesn’t keep ice cream frozen. The bar on the side door flexes so stuff falls out take drip tray out cause it’s wasting valuable space.

I just bought this exact mini fridge at walmart for $45 on clearance despite being brand new. Still waiting to test it out but it was a deal I couldn't pass up. They usually retail at nearly $100.
Yes, or atleast mine is, some come with a backplate but if it doesn't its for reason, cooling or even easy maintenance, but yes it is normal, if its that bothersome you can put it against a wall and you will slowly forget about it, that's what I did
@@Neptunereviews i thought it was for ventilation? Or is it still okay to have it against the wall.. I suppose it is since you just told me😂 I’m just very.. anxious when it comes to new appliances... I always think they are going to explode 😂😂😂😂😂😂 thank you so much this helps me settle down. Oh wait! About the gurgling noises?? Is that normal?
I would put it atleast 2 to 5 inches away from the wall and if the gurgling sound is what I think it is then it should go away within 2 days of plugging it in and letting it cool its probably the liquid that cools it going through the tube or however that works thus is gonna sound weird but does the gurgling sound like water or does it sound like a electronically assisted buzzing sound, new things scare me to especially if I have no idea how they are suppose to work 😂😂😂
As long as you have a normal outlet that is not damaged or does not have a history of making thing destroy themselves I would say you are good to go but DO NOT plug it into a surge protector/outlet extender it can and probably will cause an electric fire, but a normal wall outlet should be fine, mine has been plugged in for about a week longer than this video has bee uploaded on setting 6 and I have no issues, I would recommend giving it about two inches of clearance on all sides to make sure you do not have any hazards that might take place, then again I'm to safe about everything according to my friends and parents, but I would still recommend it because there is a compressor in it because it's an actual refrigerator so it always has the possibility to combust if somthing goes wrong cooling wise, which I should let you know it only gets hot on it's initial cooling process unless you have giving it time to defrost it remains for the most part cold, at least that's what it says in the manual, TLDR, basically yes if it's not damaged but do not plug it into a surge protector/outlet extender
@@Neptunereviews Just get a surge protector that can handle 500 watts (which is what the draw is when this refrigerator first comes on), after that it only draws 52 watts. Standard 120v outlets are good for 1,800 watts.
Good to know, thank you for commenting, the only reason I'm really even scared of it is one time we plugged a heater into a fairly modern surge protector (probably not able to handle the voltage like you stated) and it destroyed the surge protector and melted the slot it was in

@lr5927 you're welcome. I have a slightly different model from that company i just recently got the 1.6 cubic mini fridge and i have mine on a metal cabinet, and if it's placed slightly towards the edge of the cabinet i seem to hear the compressor but other than that i don't hear it at all. You probably could attempt to make it quieter by putting a fabric under the feet of it which will dampen the vibrations , but if that doesn't work then you should contact Hisense customer care and see if they can assist you because it is most certainly the compressor which is bad if it's making a clearly audible hum that you can hear from across the room when normally you should not be able to hear anything unless you get your ear within inches from it.

i wanna get one for my room
is it noisy?
It makes a low humming sound think of a laptop or a computer that hasnt had its fans tweaked its comparable to any regular refrigerator but if it bothers you maybe you can surround it with something to dampen the sound but i would be careful not to create any fire hazards or anything
Haha this is the exact one I just got today
Nice
hey um so I got my fridge today and I took all the plastic and tape and stuff off and plugged it in to a outlet and it’s it getting anything cold im really lost and need help
Make sure it in the wall outlet and make sure the file in the back is turned up
this comment made my head hurt
mine is really loud any fix?
Maybe turn the dile down a bit, mine makes a constant really quiet humming sound and thats only when its on make sure it has had enough time to cool all the way down because it could be making the compressor work harder to cool it all the way down my dile is set for 6
Neptune ok
How is it holding up?
Its still holding up great, almost as good as the day i got it
@@Neptunereviewsthanks
no problem
how big would you describe it as
About as big as a small dresser
@@Neptunereviews thanks im definitely gonna cop it you explained it really good in the video so i think it looks cool
It's definitely a good buy, mine is still working exactly as it was the day I bought it
@@Neptunereviews Just copped it man it technically has a mini freezer
Yeah, that my favorite part because I have frequent headaches and I have 2 ice packs and 2 gel eye covers and all of them are frozen, but it does freeze over rather quickly, but it is also extremely easy to clean because of the drip pan
Can u frizzle the whole box
Theres a little box in the top that you can freeze
This dude is funny lol
How expensive is it and can you buy it on Amazon?
Here's a similar product on Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B078WS8ZM7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_R29F03T989NWE5ZY2NWP
I cant find the official product
Actually I can but its 170
Lol I bought that small one with the window but too small im returning it and getting that one the hisense
Let me know how you like it, I think ur gonna enjoy it
Does it include adjustable brackets at the bottom?
If your talking about the things at the bottom where you unscrew them to get the fridge level, yes they do but they are a bit weird to get perfect
I got this exact fridge but from haier
Its still holden up lol
Yo bro one month update hows the fridge is it still holding up?
Yeah, infact I believe it is still holding up just as good as the day I got it
@@Neptunereviews just got mine yesterday cause i was wanting one and bro you was right about having to dial it back it was slushing up my dr peppers XD
Yeah, I thought it was hair in my mouth or something until I was able to crush it😂😂
f
fridgerator
So how many watts it runs?
Honestly I have no clue
@@Neptunereviews lol np sir appreciate your reply
I looked it up its around 150w
That's honestly more than I expected lol
How many beers can this hold?? 🍺
i dont know, I would say if you remove the drip pan and rack it would hold alot
@@Neptunereviews nice, I'm thinking about getting a size like this one with a glass door and putting it on a desk since I have carpet floor in my room.
I buy like four to six 24oz cans a month so I'm wondering how many beer bottles I can also fit in it as well if I end up getting a couple of 6 packs too or an 18 pack so maybe I'm better off with a 3foot fridge but I'm still not sure about a 3foot because I don't want to be over drinking lmaoo
Yeah you should probably get the size up lol
I want one
Its really good so far, I have no problems yet
Why is mine so noisy?
Possibly a bad compressor , but it might be that you have it on a surface that is hollow which will amplify the humming sound.
@@josephbennett3482 thanks for the response appreciate it
@lr5927 you're welcome.
@@josephbennett3482 ok thank you bro I'll look into that
How much is it?
It was like 100 110 bucks
Update its actually 80 dollars at walmart
@@Neptunereviews ok thank you
Np
Just got a similar one; same brand at Lowe's for $79 now im wondering if it is going to blow up in my classroom 😲😫😂
It shouldn't but it will get hot time to time and it makes a click sound when its coming on
@@Neptunereviews good to know!! Thank you!! Right now its been pretty good and not making much sound 👍
Yeah this model seems to not make a lot of sound which is super nice lol
I have the same mini fridge
But for some reason it’s starting to melt after about 2months now
What should I keep the temp too
I keep mine at 6 so I would go with that
If it is melting put it on 7
