They just aren't big enough to have presence. It is a ported speaker with 2 ports instead of one. Big deal. They just used a computer to figure out the correct size of the port.

I've had several nice bookshelves now, and yeah, dont get me wrong they do sound "pleasent"but you will never ever get the full range of sound with any spakers under a certain size with small drivers, no matter how well you place them or how powerful your amp is. it just defies the law of acoustics. a bigger pair of good speakers will always compeltely outlcass a good pair of booshshelf speakers

great upload, but have to be careful with that artist's recordings. he likes a lot of distortion in his sound and some may think its a reflection from the speaker.
Excellent details, sounds like a live stage, awesome instrument separation, but really slow bass. I'd close the holes completely or at least close them at 50%. May be it will be better if they will be placed 3f away from a wall..
The bass is all but slow. I have them paired with Naim NAP100. Incredibly punchy and accurate bass. Plus, they sound MUCH better without grills on. I know that their constructor himself says that they sound better with grills on, but I don't agree. Grills make them dead, very vailed. The best in terms of power at comparable price point would be Denon PMA 1600-NE. I have the Audiolab 7000A, which I am disappointed to say lacks sufficient power to control the Lintons.
You can say that and I think, depending on what volume your playing (and type of music), that's correct. Erin's audio corner measured them less sensitive than their specs say. I heard them with with a Nilai Class D amp and that's a complete different game vs the 7000a (good, but not really a powerhouse) > 2 x 70W (8 ohms) / 2 x 110W (4 ohms) and current: 9 Amps (same Amps as the 6000a which isn't the most dynamic amp). For example, the 9000a is 15 Amps.
