I did Judo for about ten tears when I was younger and can say some of those throws were pure art....and also skill. I saw the basic first throw I ever learnt tie atoshi and leg trips mixed some unreal back rolling throws. A lot of feints and getting the opponent off balance. Really good stuff.

I LOVE the ones where the guys takes their whole leg and sweeps up the opponent off balance into a throw/wheel. Just pure FUN to watch. And best of all, no one got their faces bloodied or neck broken, true meaning of Martial Art!!!!

Like the creator of Judo said: "Judo is a study of techniques with which you may kill if you wish to kill, injure if you wish to injure, subdue if you wish to subdue, and, when attacked, defend yourself.”
Meaning that blasting someone who doesn't know how to fall onto concrete full force will literally break them. And you actually don't need to control their fall if you don't want to. You can land on top of them and let them fall with the throw Judo can be the gentle way but also the brutal way

You did that move in real life to anyone on a hard surface (or most any of these throws for that matter), it is game over. These throws are more dangerous than most any kick or punch, especially if the other guy doesn't know how to brake their fall.

I learnt never to give up and to train hard from judo. It served me well in my martial arts training and career later on in life. I trained under the four Japanese 4 th Dans sent by the Japanese Overseas Volunteers Corps to train the Police Field Force in Sarawak, Malaysia. I was only 16 then but won my black belt by remaining unbeaten and throwing the other two men (with full ippon) who passed the test with me. I have never been thrown in competition. Great and fun sport. Made a man out of me. In judo you have to fight everyone and cannot hide under your belt. Everyone challenges you.

Buy a book on judo. All u need is another body to practice on ask around if anyone wants to practice with you b4 or after on on an open mat day. If your in bjj just ask your instructor to go over some throws. Take it slow nice and easy learn how to fall first and just learn the technique. It's been years since I've did BJJ. But one of the places I trained was a young lady who started with judo first so that helped but it's not hard to add to your game. Hard to do on a resisting opponent but once u start messing around with it you'll start to see the openings 4 it. When you do hit a throw it feels cool
