    I think Cinders 2.06-7 is better than the original game. And Convergence 2.0+ is not good.

    I really liked the Boss Rush Mod in DS3. Sadly I seem to have uninstalled it incorrectly and now my account has been banned from online for a lifetime, which I still think is a really bad way to handle the issue of hackers and stuff, but the mod itself is really fun.

    • @erikrl2

      If it's the first time you're banned you can write to Bandai Namco support and they remove the penalty.
      I had something similar.

    • @daerilys
      @daerilys 4 месяца назад +1

      You didn't uninstalled (installed?) it incorrectly, any type of mod gets you banned if you use it online
      That's why most people just pirates the game for mods especifically or plays offline

    • @DoktorTaiko
      @DoktorTaiko 4 месяца назад

      @@daerilys I installed it correctly and played it, but only in offline mode, as I was aware of the results of having the mod in my game files before going online again.
      After playing the mod, I removed (uninstalled) it, before going online again. Sadly, I did not uninstall it correctly (probably forgot to remove a few of the files), leading the game to detect illegal files, directly banning me for life.
      I understand, that the game tells you you're not allowed to temper with the game files and will harshly punish anyone they detect doing so. They are allowed to do that and it is their way to counter hacking, piracy, and so on. However, my point is, that I think this is a really bad measurement to take. Mods increase the lifetime of games, enlarge the player base, and just add enjoyment. Thus, punishing people that try to mod so harshly led me to not try that in any other fromsoft game, decreasing my play time with them and recommendations of the game to friends. I feel like their approach is one of the worst possible approaches to deal with the issue.

      Yeah, got banned for picking up embers a guy dropped me in coop. As phenomenal as Dark Souls 3 is, it may have the worst anti-cheat out of any game I have ever played. It punishes the victim, not the hacker. And why do triple A devs hate mods so much?

    • @DoktorTaiko
      @DoktorTaiko Месяц назад

      @@GrapeJuice3000 Yeah, I agree to the statement. I can see some issues with mods, such as people modifying their product in potentially unintended ways, maybe even selling mods without them getting cuts, creating NSFW content that the devs don't want associated with their games etc. Especially with Japanese publishers, the sentiment of: "I can't control it, so I won't risk it" is very popular. However, as it is effectively free work for them, it is very short sighted and inefficient.

    Regarding the "Bosses but stronger yet still befit their character" part of the video, an Unalloyed Malenia mod was released recently and it's completely bananas. It feels like the fight Miyazaki wished he couldve put into the game but was stopped by the other devs.

    Convergence needs to be tried by anyone that enjoyed DS3. It's tougher but it is so good. Flexible builds. Many types of useful magic. The bosses are great, especially the new versions of Pontiff and Wolnir.
    For fun randomizer runs are always great at making a game feel fresh.

      Randomizer is just random drops and random items from everywhere, there is nothing new, just the same old vanilla game, only random items or sometimes absurdity buggy abominations instead of normal enemies.

    • @Kerry.R
      @Kerry.R 11 месяцев назад

      Yea i agree but randomizer is in the top cause of the replay-abilty and challenge it gives you. You are at the mercy of RNG for what you get so it can make for some memorable playthroughs. All though I do see your point , it can be boring because in reality it is just base game. @@timelordthemaster
