I've never heard of this band before and I'm 46. Maybe I've been too much on the edge of more popular bands and not digging deeper into more death metal, but watching this.. watching the tight connection between these 2 and hearing and seeing their clearly creative skills put into such a precise execution. I'm an instant fan. I've been playing guitar since I was 9, along side my oldest friend who just happens to be a drummer as well, and we have that same tight connection. Frankly, this just really hits home in the best way possible. Thank you for sharing this, the timing is just perfect!
I strongly recommend you to check their songs 'A View From a Hole' and 'Blindness'. If you dig those, go back in time and check thier 2004 album 'The Negation', and then their two firs albums. The new stuff is way more 'Thrashy' and groovy, but I love the evolution this band has had throughout the years. Check their crazy history also, is full of disgrace and bad luck. This guys are resilient as fuck and Vogg has all my respect.
Definitely check out their discography - this is one of those bands where you should start with their very first album and move forward - each album is unique and brings something new, and they're all great! Especially the first 4, when Vitek was still alive
James is amazing. One of the top drummers in metal these days. Every hit is spot on, but at the same time there still a sense of groove and personality in his playing.
Taking me back in time dudes! I was in 6th grade and must have jammed Eternity Too Short back to back at least 1000 times when Nihility came out. Top 10 all time album, for sure.
I couldn't agree more. Nihility was my first experience with tech death. I can say that because of that album and also Epitaph from Necrophagist I feel in love with and continue to live tech death to this day.
I remember seeing them play this live back in 2010, and being completely dumbstruck.. I was 18, had just started college, and this blew my mind into the stone age
When I heard James Stewart was joining Decapitated, I got more than excited! Was really hoping some of that really tight Vitek drumming would creep back in. Cheers James. Appreciate the lesson back in North Carolina.
Vogg is one of absolutely top death metal guitar players. His skills are insane. New drummer seems to be a great addition to the band. Well done guys!

Some of the best death metal drumming I've ever seen. Clean and ferocious. Perfect.
James Stewart is a fine addition to the band! As well as his playing in Vader. Astounding drummer!😝🤘🏼

tight. Vogg is still a beast. good to see the old stuff being played
James can obviously rip, but he lays into the slower stuff the closest to Vitek that I've seen. Thanks for filming this - it's very special.

I love how the drummer interpret Vitek's drum creation for Mother War. It's so close to the original!

Just to clarify, I mean no disrespect at Krihm. I personally just think that James' style falls more in line with that good old stuff!
Just to add again. I cannot wait to see James rip the old shit in the full spirit of Vitek. Both of whom, such accomplished and precise drummers.
