I so look forward to your videos. They’re very uplifting and I appreciate the time you and Jackie put into them. Perfect timing with this video, as berry bowls are on my shortlist of things to make!
We have had a very mild Fall here in Michigan. I see you are enjoying a warm Fall as well. Thank you for sharing your videos. I enjoy watching. Hugs from the Great Lakes.
Thanks Vaughan. Really like the yellow glaze! Have been really busy the past month and haven't had much time to throw so your video's inspiring me to get at it
Are you going to keep your new studio as a a gallery or working towards a school situation case or sell your property as it is only just on the water line.? I do love your Videos. I have been potting for years but there is always something new
So far we are still using it. We have plans to either raise it up even higher or take apart my floor and crib it to support Jackies floor upstairs, both options needed a place to put my studio contents while working on the old building. We are in the flood plain for storm surge so insurance will not help if a storm hits us, just a matter of time. I am moving vital possessions into the new building, heavy equipment will be sacrificed. Thanks.
By the way, I like your solid and experienced work. I am a pensionier and after 47 years work in microeleclectronics I started to learn pottery, just for fun. I do have my pension and there is no reason to open a business. Currently we reconstruct the inside of a little garden house as studio and parallel I am doing some pottery, like funny animals and other things without a wheel. But I also learned how to center and made bowls and my first are not so bad. Next year I move with the stuff from kitchen into the garden house. I love working with clay. It has a mental satisfying component. Feel.like a kid playing around. Maybe professionals lost this feeling? Wish you and your wife all best, health and (egoistic) many new pottery videos.
Rarely, new clay out of the box is ready to throw. Pugged clay is good too. I found it puts a lot of repetitive motion on the wrists and I have had surgery on both wrists, almost 20 years ago. Wedging also adds to the shoulder issues I have.
I have been wondering about that for a while. I think it is easier for you because you have such strong hands and good upper body strength. I have to wedge my recycled clay because I don’t have a pug mill. I always wedge bagged clay, too. Looking forward to seeing your new studio operating.
Vaughan, I am really loving the landscape elements in your glazes-both on the vases and bowls. Totally dreamy!
Thanks, the potential is massive with all the ways of applying glazes.

Good luck and keep having fun with sly.
I learns so much from your videos! You are a true master!

@@sabineperko4164 Thanks I am glad the videos give you some pleasure.
Is my man looking at security footage of a graveyard at 9:50? Is Vaughan really Buffy?
Those are the showroom cameras, people wave at us when they need help, we have them trained well.
@@Vsmithpots 🤣😂
Do you ever wedge your clay?
