    Only thing I disagree with is the aftermarket support. Granted, it’s not as robust as Harley, but there are still quite a few companies who make a good deal of upgrades for this bike. SS Custom Cycle, DeanSpeed, Low and Mean, etc.

      A lot of manufacturers use plastic parts on their bikes. It helps reduce unnecessary weight gain/loss. Star [Yamaha] sells a brass visor for the speedometer. What causes the speed wobble? I'm considering this bike and am surprised that this relatively new model could have such a serious issue

    • @Tardy_Productions
      @Tardy_Productions  3 года назад +2

      Could be the ergonomics of the bike. It only happens when you take both hands off the bars. A pretty good way to at least reduce the wobble is by replacing the steering head bearing with an “all balls pin bearing” for the Yamaha bolt.

    • @Tardy_Productions
      @Tardy_Productions  3 года назад +2

      So that was my old bolt, I am actually doing a new bolt build on the channel right now. But I did like it to a certain degree. A little rough of a ride because they were drag specialties shocks made for dynas I believe. When I put new ones on this bike ill let you know if they ride any better

    • @stevenlatre7934
      @stevenlatre7934 3 года назад

      Speed wobble happens most often upon decel when you take your hands off the bars they start to shake back and forth like a fish trying to throw the hook. I've heard multiple ways to cure it to varying degrees of success.

  • @Voltomess
    @Voltomess 3 года назад +1

    Who needs to ride without holding a handlebar or with one hand? because only then you get wobble.
    Yamaha said they not going to fix it because bike is designed to ride with both hands on the handlebar.
    If you ride with both hands as you should, without playing a macho man or cool guy there will be no wobble.
    So stop fooling around people and ride safe period.

    • @Tardy_Productions
