I got into riding at an older age...I was in my 40’s, now very close to 50. The Harley 48 was the bike that I always wanted but because of finances I ended up getting a bolt. Now I’m obsessed with the bolt LOL... I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your content!!! Keep er going!
Honest review/opinion. I've had my Bolt for over 3.5 years and hands down it is the best decision I had ever made. Very reliable as I had only changed the tires once and had 3 oil changes. Everything still performs to this. This is a great bike for someone who does not want to pay the "Harley Tax" on parts and the bike itself. Not knocking Harleys as they are nice bikes but I ride with friends who have both 883s and 1200s Sportsters and their maintenance tab is much higher than mine. The only downside is that the aftermarket parts are a bit harder to find than Sportsters. However, I had still managed to get Vance & Hines exhaust, intake, fuelpak, LED headlights, Hagon performance stocks, Baron mini apes, and a warrior fairing/cowl. Really fun bike to own. It is definitely faster than the 883 but a bit slower than the 1200. However, with the proper aftermarket parts and an ECU flash it will bring it a bit closer. At the end of the day it is a well rounded bike.
TY ,TY.... Thank You........Never thought I would see the day that some one would be ballsey enough to say that the Bolt could out-do the 1200 with out a sweat. I've been telling my peers for ages that the bolt would kick a$$ any sportster. And now ... we have proof....... Mind you, for all that effort.... we still have the sport bike crew wanting to go to cruiser mode and still convince them to stay Yamaha.... Well done Amigos.
I was shocked that the bolt beat the sportster 1200, I was expecting both bikes to be neck on neck for a bit with the sportster eventually gaining more ground, but I did NOT expect the bolt to win and I certainly did not expect it to win by such a margin, colour me impressed!
Man I finally found the saddle man step up seat for the bolt but only in black, I haven’t seen the tan one. Where did you get it? Also, did your friend figure out how best to fix those awesome crash bars?
The Solid Mount Era Sportsters are the best by a long shot. They only really vibrate a little at idle anyways, it smooths out as soon as you get going. What you're rewarded with for the small compromise in comfort is a bike that doesn't "wobble" past 80MPH, and is 70lbs lighter straight out of the gate. There's 2 main reasons to go Harley that (I don't believe) I heard you guys cover; the terrible resale value of Japanese Cruisers, and the lack of aftermarket, especially engine parts, for the metric bikes.
Absolutely, it’s been a great bike for generally all styles of riding. If you plan on doing 70% city and 30% highway riding, it’s a solid bike. After all it is a cruiser so it is good for cruising 😂
@@Tardy_Productions sup bro, this will be my First Bike. But i cancelt the Bolt and got a ktm 390 adventure. But im pretty sure im getting a Bolt when im used to drive.the driving test is no joke in swizerland 😁❤️
Just sold my 2018 Bolt R-Spec. Was completely blacked out and often mistaken for a sportier. Loved the bike but I want ABS for those “oh shit” moments. And I was moving anyway
I feel like you need to get on a longer road n race again ( this time dont let off the throttle) You babied the Hell out a that launch with the sporty...
Its like caddi ats vs lexus is350 😊... made in our days is the best you can gets..a .country where people have better wages and else were and still make it in land
I'm the first to throw Harley under the bus (the Iron 883 is one of the worst, over-prices cheapo bikes out there), but there is no way the Sportster 1200 lost to a Yamaha Bolt -- I don't care what the mods / tune. You either screwed up the throttle -- choking the engine with fuel, flubbed your start, or both. I'm calling shenanigans on this one. B.S.!!!
That’s what I’d fake, after dozens of videos on every mid weight cruiser, I’m taking time to fake a race against a Yamaha bolt and a sporty… go buy both at the same time and prove me wrong. I’ll post the video

It fun watching how much fun you have on the Bolt.
Harley is Harley. You know what to expect. But the Bolt will surprise you. Bolt all the way.
Dude I could not have said that better!
Bolt gang all the way baby!! 💪🏼
Yeahhhh dude!

I just can’t wait to get one of these things…
(Dart Vader voice)Welcome to the Bolt side!!
Hahaha everyone will join the dark side of motorcycles soon 😂

It might be because he’s a better racer but I was shocked too!!!
With much less cc's
Tbh it was a driver issue, the harley 1200 is a bit faster
I think you could take the extra money you'd spend on a sportster and put it into the bolt and it'll always be the better of the two
That’s exactly how I feel. I can build a Bolt for the price of a stock Sportster.
solid video bro! I picked up a bolt myself finally! 2020 RSpec, using some of your videos for references of mods to do on mine!
That’s awesome to hear dude! I hope they help with the process. Definitely post a video about it, I’d love to check it out!
Man I finally found the saddle man step up seat for the bolt but only in black, I haven’t seen the tan one. Where did you get it? Also, did your friend figure out how best to fix those awesome crash bars?
Never mind, found the seat! Can’t wait to start pulling mine apart and frankensteining it!
Just got longer sliders and it did the trick! They have saved my bike so many times now.
I’d recommend buying the seat from saddlemen. Like order it and all. Talk to Alex on their sales team. Let him know you have a bolt and all
@@Tardy_Productions awesome, I’m going to look him up. Those are the first things I want to change when I get a bolt.
Just picked up a bolt on Friday. Man i love it
Stoked for you! Ride safe dude

I have definitely heard great things about the solid mounts. They keep the bike feeling tight.
Did you do fork extensions on your bolt?
I’m looking at getting into riding. Would a bolt be a good first bike?
It’s a great first bike. I started on a 250 but this is something you can grow with for a while. Ride safe!
What a race
So...are you still bit by the harley bug?
Its completely and entirely youre fault that i not only want a bolt, but i want to have it as a stunt bike.
Hahahaha I take no responsibility for tempting you with videos hahahaa 😂
Get the Bolt
What modifications performance wise does the bolt have?
That one only had exhaust and intake done. The new one has a tuner, exhaust, and intake. So pretty simple stuff.
The whole build out is in a playlist
Is the bolt good for riding that’s not so aggressive??
Absolutely, it’s been a great bike for generally all styles of riding. If you plan on doing 70% city and 30% highway riding, it’s a solid bike. After all it is a cruiser so it is good for cruising 😂
@@Tardy_Productions would you recommend the bolt as a commuter, looking for a first bike
@@issacgonzalez2773 how far is the commute?
Hi, did the bolt fit me with 6.2 (188cm) ?
what's up dude! I'm 6 foot and while the bolt wasn't "spacious" it fit me. what bike are you coming from, or will this be the first?

Thunder house Moto!
You can find him on Instagram @thunderhousemoto
Only crash bars I would run
Bolt baby. I have a 19 r spec myself
I’ve been looking for a newer one on the market really what do you want hard to find those used

Bolt baby!! Lol. I'm loving the paint on that sporty though 😍 hey man I'm using the cheap Amazon lapel mic named BOWER and it has worked great 4 me.
I’ll definitely see if it’s where the mic is located or something because if that’s the case I have no idea what the problem is
