This seems to be the most hands-on pack yet. I'm really proud of the EA team for stepping it up and doing something different. Hopefully they can come out with more packs like this where you can interact more with the world.

Like no matter what you could just zoom over to a park and see Sims there having fun. The world felt alive.. the only issue with the game was the scripting problems. I was hoping Sims 4 would just improve upon that, but they instead took like everything out of the game..
The concept of reusing old shipping containers and adding lots of windows as a base for a home is definitely eco-friendly lol. Strategically placed large windows = more natural light entering home = less need to use power. I wish Kayla just completely scrapped the original EA home to make it more industrial but I understand that she was just trying to renovate it :)

3:44 bit feels like a typical EA Sims thing. lets add this new feature to item in this DLC expansion like a Candle that is not powered by the grid. the chandelier from the base game is not patched to have that use no power tag. que a lot of why is this candle not electric but this one apparently is.
The idea behind using a shipping container for housing or small stores is you are recycling a large steel object into a useful space. The whole idea behind “tiny living” is to make less of a footprint. We have a whole neighborhood of shipping container “homes” in an up and coming area of our city. It’s a really neat place for singles and young couple to live and socialize.
Once during my interior design studies I had a project where I had to use containers to arrange the space and design the interior. And I can tell you that it's not easy to use containers to make something fun, that everyone would like. And Simsie did it, I really like that build 😄😄 and maybe I don't know about others opinion but... Girl, you did a great job ❤️🔥
So, you wanted an industrial lot and removed the industrial stone tiles on the entire lot, made a grassy area, put down multiple green trees, bushes, flowers... I think I'm confused...

Kayla you can have a lot off grid and industrial at the same time, you just gotta use the electricity and water generator instead of the solar panels and the water collector thingy ^-^
the problem with this pack is you have to work for it to be industrial, which I feel like makes the pack kind of boring because things just fix itself and there's no actual challenge to make you want things to be green
From an architecture perspective, a renovation in the Netherlands counts as long as the foundation is being kept. So, technically, TECHNICALLY, you can strip the whole building and still call it a renovation. So Kayla, you´re doing great ;)
the sliding glass door from island living isn't green, although that may be a bug because most of the island living stuff is green. also i highly recommend building rockets on every lot, i did that in the off-the-grid part of sulani and it's super industrial now
If the sharing is caring neighborhood action plan was active at any point NPCs probably looted the place, which is why the furnishings would be so sparse.
NEW CHALLENGE IDEA: similar to the every room is a different Colour challenge, but for CAS. (I’m not sure if it’s a thing but I called it every item is a different colour challenge CAS). So you randomise a sims, then randomise the skin tone (cause it’s difficult to use the Color generator for skin tone). Then for every other part of the sim (eg. Eyes, tops, shoes, makeup, hair) you randomise a colour using the random colour generator. You then end up with a very colourful sim which I think is quite fun! I also did in for pets as well on my gallery if you want to check it out. Gallery name: georgixm (my CAS is under CC cause I use the kiyjoki eyelash mod but that’s it!) hope you like it and try it out!!!
you criticise yourself for using the same chair, but i have seen a house listing where someone had furnished their entire house with chairs that screamed school/municipality office waiting room and it was wild. this looks better.
I deleted most of the house when I got the pack weeks ago. I kept the main space and added a second floor over it. It was too big for my one SIM. Love your version, much nicer than mine.

Shipping container homes are traditionally green, they’re made out of a industrial recycled materials.
This has become my favorite pack so far. I love it so much. So many fun things!!
