This episode had a few flaws sir. The name of country is Moldova and Moldovia. The reasons listed for why the US is worried about Ukraine -Russia conflict are probably of lower importance. One of the most important reasons for Russian response is that if the Russia does not push Americans away, the only warm water ports in Crimea would be proxy of the US and Russian exports and imports will be choked by the US or NATO. There is no physical barrier for any traditional army to push due to flat lands in the same plain through which Germans and Napoleon before Germans invaded Russia.
From US perspective choking the Russians would be absolute win considering lack of warm water port.

It was a very good assessment of the Ukraine x Russia situation. The history of the present conflict was very well brought out. Shekar Gupta has also clearly depicted the situation on the border. Russia is in a dilemma. Is it the presence of NATO and USA forces that are almost 200 kms. from its borders or the Ukrainian forces that are trying to retake their lost territory. Few people realize that Russia has a great advantage over USA. Russian forces are hardly a few kilometers from the American homeland. America should be very careful. The worst part is that the Defense team of the American General and the Defense Secretary who miserably lost the war in Afghanistan are still in power. President Putin has shown great restraint and judgement in the current conflict. USA and Europe have been abusing him continuously and they have put many sanctions on Russia and Belarus. The Poles have called the Russians ''rapists' and 'murderers'' openly on the international stage. Russia has not reacted to this. NATO and the Americans must realize that they are facing a dangerous adversary. But Russia is selling oil very cheaply to Europe, despite the Europeans keep 'biting the hand that feeds them'. They will pay for it. Lastly I was surprised by Shekar Gupta's comment that ''Putin loves brinkmanship''. This comment about the Russian President, coming from a seasoned journalist, in my opinion was in poor taste and a very unprofessional remark. President Putin controls the worlds most number of nuclear warheads, the largest army, a very powerful airforce, and has unlimited natural resources especially oil and gas. He does not indulge in brinkmanship. President Putin is very smart, he is not Biden or Trump.

10:20 - Europe can DEFINITELY protect itself against Russia. As a matter of fact, go look for the figures and see that Europe is not that weak as it might appears. 10 times the budget, 3 times the population, highly industrialized and just enough nuclear warheads to deter any nuclear conflict. So, 'big' Russia has been massing up 100,000 soldiers there. That's so relative little compared to what 'ONLY' Poland has done by putting 15,000 soldiers near the Belarus border. That's only ONE of the 27 member states of the EU, without even taking the UK into account. Russia has the same GDP as Spain and that's it. Sure, Russia is a big country, but also an empty country. You can ignore 90% of the country, because it's empty. Only the west side is more populated, but still 1/3 of the entire EU population. Russia knows that Ukraine is sitting in a tight spot and knows that the US or even Europe are not sure what to do when Russia attacks the country, which is a non EU or non NATO member. Same goes also a bit for Taiwan, although the US did pledged to support it in case China attacks it.

You just see Russia as a 'big' country, but 90% of the population lives in the western sphere, which is by land area smaller than Europe. If you just Google for "Russia vs EU" and find the Infographics and Binkov video's you will see that Europe is not that easy to take as it looks. In either case, both sides will suffer heavy losses. I think that my wonderful country is under a brutal censorship. E.g. In most of TV, today, the G7 of foreign ministers have not even been mentioned. Have you an answer for this? Are we totally under control of China or maybe commercially dependent by both Russia and China?

SE Ukraine extending from Kharkiv to Odessa and borders the Black Sea was the province of Novorossiya under Catherine the Great and was never peopled by Ukrainian speaking people whose lands further north had previously been under Polish-Lithuanian domination. The Bolsheviks put these Russian lands into the Ukraine SSR and that is why it is majority Russian speaking and If the West with Ukrainian nationalists wish to turn these Russian speaking people against Mother Russia, then Russia will break Ukraine up.

i get a feeling Mr.SG is more influenced by western media and its narrative. He should understand the great game between the West and Russia is going on for centuries.Ukraine is just a creation of the west like pakistan is for India. Its the geographical location which makes it strategic.Pakistan was created not for the muslims of the sub-continent but as break for further expansion of the russian empire southwards.
See the map central asia, afghanistan and Pak. Why is MR.SG not talking about western military Maneuvers in the black sea along the russian coast like, strategic bombers flying plus US and british warships coming into black sea. Is this not provocation by the west? that's how the russians see it.
its the west as always play dirty tricks. Mr.SG i believe knows about one Mr.Zbigniew Brzezinski an american of polish extraction who wrote the book the grand chessboard. He says Russia with Ukraine is a great power without it russia counts for nothing. The Polish have their own scores to settle with russia which they have been trying for the last 4 centuries ....unsuccessfully though. hence their frustration.
